  1. Rayzor generally locks them. I'm more of an asshole than him. I'm for letting people with bad takes take their lumps. Huge props to @glenwo2 though. He came in with the worst of takes as Darnold's biggest fanboy. But the guy took his lumps and hung around. I was wrong about him.
  2. I criticized not playing him in the preseason but honestly in hindsight I think it was the right call. Hear me out. I think once they got him on the field in camp and started installing the offense they found out very quickly just how limited he was and realized that teams were going to quickly figure him out in our scheme with tape on him. They were basically forced to try to to hide him as long as possible. After four regular season games, the NFL had him straight DIALED. I told everyone who would listen last year that Darnold would likely look decent early on but as teams got tape on him he'd prove what he was. If he still looked decent around Halloween then we might have something. He barely made it out of September.
  3. Jackson is inconsistent for sure, but he has played at a MUCH higher level than CJ Henderson. Henderson has looked like a flat out bust through two seasons. He's basically Darnold at CB. Pure trash for the most part but every now and then he'll make a play that flashes his talent, but it's likely fool's gold in that pan.
  4. Just pure delusion. When a guy sucks for three years, chances are he just plain sucks. Sure, there are some guys who can bounce back and salvage a career elsewhere but those situations are a lot rarer than NFL fans imagine. The vast majority of busts stay busts. That the guy was a mistake of a high draft pick three years ago just couldn't possibly be more irrelevant to who he is in the NFL.
  5. That CB was so good we had to trade midseason for another vet CB.
  6. Gimme your contract and sure thing bud. I'll go out there and embarrass myself and get smashed with a poo eating grin on my face thinking about those checks.
  7. I saw the opposite. He pretty much looked like trash outside of a few decent plays. There were times when the opposing offense's entire strategy was "find Henderson and throw that direction".
  8. Yeah, the Giants have been almost as poorly ran as we've been in recent years. The final nail in the coffin of the "we really screwed up firing Gettleman" argument.
  9. Rhule doesn't have the luxury of pumping the brakes now. He's down to his last swing.
  10. Perhaps the most brutal thing ever said to someone on the Huddle.
  11. You're not factoring in a desperate coach and an owner desperate for NFL caliber QB play. You seem to be expecting the Panthers to suddenly start making rational moves at QB. I don't.
  12. Jimmy G is the guy who I've always felt will ultimately be here.
  13. I don't want my guy anywhere near this debacle. Let him go to a stable situation.
  14. They've made it too clear they're moving on from Darnold just like they did with Teddy when they soured on him. They're gonna do something and if history is any indication it's gonna be something very dumb that fails spectacularly.
  15. Everything about Tepper and Rhule's Panthers has been depressing. Watching them flounder betting big on trash veteran QBs that the vast majority of the fanbase knew we're gonna flop hard is just pathetic.
  16. I just think there's very little (virtually zero) chance that Rhule and Tepper stick with him this year.
  17. Hell, the ultimate win for me here is the deal falling apart with the politicians wearing egg on their face. This is shaping up perfectly.
  18. We just lost key contributors off an already mediocre defense and we still have Sam Darnold penciled in at starter. Not so sure #1 overall in '23 isn't well within reach.
  19. I side with the common people of Rock Hill. It's a bad deal for them. That's literally all I care about. The billionaires and their bought and paid for politicians can pound sand.
  20. Worst pick ever? Nah. Hell, he's just a run of the mill Hurney 2nd rounder.
  21. It's worked before. Your best bet of landing a legit QB is with a VERY high first round draft pick. So yeah, if #6 overall could get us either a good LT or a spectacularly bad QB, I'll go with option B. We're still a 6-7 win roster with a good LT. That'll be good for a pick in the lower half of the top 10 again. And likely watching those QBs we covet go just out of reach. Again.
  22. It's weird to me watching people actively rooting for billionaires to fleece municipalities. It'd be a much wiser move by Rock Hill to invest $21k per each impoverished resident in their city than hand Tepper $225M to help fund his headquarters.
