  1. It appeals to me and I’m almost 40. I have money to spend. Our silver helmets are and have always been stupid. We need to shift more to a two tone look rather than the three tone we’ve always had. Black and blue is so much better than black, blue and silver. Wish they’d completely do away with the silver.
  2. That’s what I came to say. Brees is quite mobile, he’s just not a runner or scrambler.
  3. I wouldn’t be mad if we got Fields. I still prefer Wilson, but considering he’s probably going to the Jets or Texans at #2, I’d be happy with Fields after a trade up to 3 or 5. Give up next year’s first to do it. Maybe next year’s second if necessary too.
  4. No it wouldn’t. It wasn’t a few more plays, it wouldn’t have required a whole new season and him playing like he’s never played in his career. Teddy isn’t going to be our QB next year and he simply isn’t and never will be a good QB
  5. I’ve been here since around 07. Still quite a few oldheads around from before me, they just tend to get drowned out by the loud trolls and younger generation heh
  6. I’m not sure which I prefer, Fields or Lance. Lance is more boom or bust. And I’m also not sure whether I’d prefer one of those two or trade a mid round pick for Darnold or something along those lines, draft well this year and prepare to be aggressive in the draft for a QB next year. I would be happy with pretty much any scenario that doesn’t include Bridgewater taking another snap for us. Except maybe Alex Smith. Not sure I’d be satisfied if we signed him.
  7. Boot his ass out. I mean, I’d love to see the WTFs (intentional) stay mired in mediocrity forever, especially while Rivera is there. But he is no bueno. Gotstago
  8. Nothing major here, just posting for his write-up
  9. Not that I think he’s done and I’d love to see him get back to form with a more normal off season and some actual NFL talent around him, but if Cam were thinking maybe it’s time to give his body a rest and sit at home counting his millions, it would be epic if he joined them on March 11. Three of the main architects of what success we had for a decade
  10. I didn’t see a mock draft but that would have me furious
  11. Honestly I wouldn’t mind sending them a 3rd or 4th, use this year’s first on a stud LT (or maaaaybe Pitts) or trade down to build ammo to move up next year if Darnold is irredeemable.
  12. I also like the more casual tone of the write ups, with some humor injected (eg. Lawrence’s pro comparison)
  13. Don’t know if this has been posted. Only thing that really sets this apart is a more in depth write up than I’m used to seeing and I like how Chinn is already being used as a comparison for highly rated prospects https://nfldraft.theringer.com/?_ga=2.189757611.189411139.1614797204-703757875.1614797203
  14. Looks like he has a pretty good track record when going against the grain. I dunno anything about this Mond guy, and I’d still take Lawrence over Wilson but him being so high on Wilson does somewhat validate what a lot of us are seeing in Wilson
  15. Who wouldn’t want this dashing fellow as their QB?
  16. Giving Teddy another shot would be the absolute worst choice. The lesser of the multitude of evils here is Mariotta imo. Doesn’t cost draft capital, can still draft a QB at 8, or if that’s not in the cards in these scenarios, we can get a really good player or trade down and still able to go for a guy next year.
  17. Yea I get what you’re saying. But I tend to look at prospects a different way, looking for specific traits rather than just how they played as a whole. In my mind, it helps weed out the “who they have around them” and “who they played against” factors. Fields hasn’t shown the ability to make reads and Wilson has better pass placement and range on his throws. Fields has been more limited. Doesn’t mean I don’t think Fields can make the reads and the throws, just means I haven’t seen it like I have with Wilson. and from your lips to God’s ears my friend. Watson is a best case scenario, pretty much regardless of the cost.
  18. Dline depth isn’t a hole. A hole is a starter. A hole is a glaring need, as far as I understand the word. TE isn’t a hole. Corner barely qualifies. Safety, maybe but Chinn and Burris is a fine combo to me. The only holes I see are a couple OL, corner kinda, MLB. And we have a fair amount of cap space to get FAs for those holes if we’re drafting a QB
  19. That’s fine, but based on my own watching of all the videos youtube has to offer, Wilson has skills that Fields just hasn’t shown yet. And a better arm and better throws. There isn’t really anything you can say Fields had an advantage in except size and the team he played for. In my opinion.
  20. But Bridgewater actually has been able to physically hold up to playing in the nfl outside of a freak catastrophic injury that wasn’t really due to his size or durability. His problem has been that he’s just not good.
  21. I would vomit all over my living room if we draft a gdmf LB at #8 with such an epic need for QB. Would have been like trading our #1 in ‘11 to trade down and take Marcell Darius and continuing to trot Jimmy Clausen out at QB
  22. Meh, we don’t have that many holes and a lot of cap space. It’s entirely believable the only four QBs worth considering in the first (imo) are gone by 8 and not getting a new starting QB either by draft or by trade (Watson) would be a tragedy and I don’t believe Tepper is willing to risk that happening. There’s a big gap between Wilson and Fields/Lance imo, so if we’re trading up I want to go big and get the best possibly attainable guy in the draft (though the realistic chance we can draft up for him is debatable, depending on what the Jets do for a QB and that #2 pick)
