Is this the worst GM/Coach combo in Panthers history?

No more restructuring contracts! It's time to knuckle up and get this right. There's only 2 players that deserve new contracts and I don't need to tell you who they are. Let the rest walk if there's no buyer and cut your losses.

Yeah the scouting is already complete. The only thing that will be different this year is with who is making the picks. -
Nah, we need someone who can replace Thielen as our best receiver. Whatever number you want to label them idgaf.

Doubling down on Young. I don't like it. We NEED Young insurance.

It's not a bad thing. I just don't see the team doing that this season. Now next season? Yeah, all bets are off. I'm curious as to the backup plan if he continues to struggle myself. If he does it would benefit the team to stick with him to improve draft position. It would improve our game day experience. But we are used to that. -
This right here sums it up perfectly. It's like the installed an offense that they didn't have they players to run it. On top of that it was so bad that even if they did it would have sucked anyway. For the life of me I cannot figure out what the hell they were trying to do with the offense. One would think they were trying sabotage it on purpose.

Thielen and Mingo are the only 2 worth keeping. Mingo is a developmental guy and rotation help at the moment. Everyone else needs replaced, including all of the TE's.

If I saw it I would have commented on it I'm sure. Just curious why so angry that's all.

Bucky Brooks seems to think Nix goes to the Rams in the 1st.

Any qb needs an oline first.

What's for breakfast? That's what I'm thinking anyway

Why does it anger so many that someone wants to believe in Young? Does it insult you that cannot convert them into seeing the world the way you do so there you must attach them and call them names? Can you not just ignore anything positive said about the guy and move on?
-
The team has missed the boat on trading Burns. That was a major screw up that is going to cost the team dearly.
-
Yeah this oline switch up game Canales is talking about is not going to work. The team has tried that in the past and it's never worked. Why are coaches obsessed with moving players around instead of keeping them at their natural position?
-
I think they should build out the roster with the best available player regardless of position. They should stop looking for unicorns and get guys that just love football and can just flat out play despite what the computer tells you.

I tend to focus on the top 50 rankings and not draft mocks. After the 1st has been completed then I go back and look at the top 100 and see how it matches and who's left on the board. Mock drafts rarely ever get the top 10 right much less the entire 1st round.

Attitude, talent and camaraderie are 3 essential parts of any successful team. We have struggled to get all 3 at the same time, especially talent. They have been a sprinkling of each at one point or another but never all 3 at the same time in enough players to build any sustainable success.
-
Young is a separate issue from building the rest of the team. He's just 1 of 53. He probably won't work out but just because they have to give it a shot does not mean they cannot upgrade everywhere else. His job is to see if doesn't get replaced before the season even starts. After that he will have to hold onto it. This is his last shot at being the guy you can count on that.

I couldn't tell you anything about this year's class coming out. I just saw an early top 32 in the banner streaming in nfl network and it looked like it was heavy on defense in the first. There were 3 or 4 qbs, cannot tell you who other than Williams, Maye and NIX. Williams and Maye were the top 2 and Nix was somewhere around the Saints or Rams. Had 3 WRs i think and the rest were defense and maybe a TE or 2. I will have to look more closely the next time I watch.

I don't have to explain it. That's for the team to be smart enough to realize. I knew it as soon as I saw it why he didn't compete for everyone. He held out for his pro day for a reason. All players looking to improve their draft positions use whatever means they can to do so, including hiring agents and media advisors to help them do just that. So I'm not getting why he has to be singled out. The blame is on the front office for falling for typical draft season bs. This game is not a new one. It's gone on ever since agents were invented. Agents and the people they hire work the teams and media mouth breathers to sell a player. Buyer beware.
