I'm not enamored with any of the qbs as a 1st round pick. Much rather go olinemen or defensive end. But Rhule doesn't have the luxury. So if it's small hands Pickett then I hope he's at least good enough to be a backup.

Also, Lamar is no Cam Newton. I've been looking for his replacement myself and I've yet to see anything close coming out in the past 5 years. My hope is that they will eventually find someone that is very damn close. I dream that we somehow landed Lawrence like everyone else. After him it was a toss up. This year I cannot get excited about any off them. But that is where this staff will go most likely. I just hope the kid is worth it.

Lamar has had a great coach and mu h better teams than the Panthers have fielded in a decade. Why would they trade him of he's still a franchise qb? If he can't get the Ravens to the AFC championship game regularly why on earth do you think he can drag this rag tag bunch to the playoffs? It's the same thinking that had everyone sure that getting Watson was going to somehow fix everything.

That's why they are so desperate to sign one than draft one this year. Look for them to try to get another vet qb before the draft to compete with Sam now that they missed out on Watson. My guess is that if they sign a FA LT and no qb they will draft a qb. If a FA qb is signed then a LT or DE is the pick.

Thankfully smarter heads prevailed. All in all I think the talent has improved a bit today. Coaching is still a huge concern. Leadership is still ass however.

Exactly. You can't put an honest grade on this pickup until you see how they play together for a few games.

It doesn't matter which one of these kids he drafts to start next year because none of them are ready for that. I just hope whichever one he takes outlast Rhule and can be at least be a backup after he's gone. Assuming he survives physically and mentally that is.

I'm sitting here in dismay by the two FA signings honestly. Shocked really. Not sure if I should be optimistic that they may have figured it out or depressed that i may have missed judged the value of these two particular FA's.
