  1. I don't think he will be fired but if he wants to leave I don't think anyone will stop him this time.
  2. We are not your typical team to where we have the right talent to fit every spot. We have a group of misfit toys and most are beyond broken repair or never worked to begin with. We need more of everything in either starters, backups or both at nearly 70% of this roster. That light someone saw is further away that it appears.
  3. No, one none qb player does not make a team instantly better. Hopefully, they may make a noticeable impact but no team gets instantly better by adding 1 player. It takes a lot more than one.
  4. That would be a good start. Stop look for 10's that won't give you the time of day. Grab a 7 that can cook and enjoy a happy life.
  5. It's not a permanent assignment. Where we stand we cannot be picky about what type receivers we are looking for.
  6. A great portion of those guys will go undrafted. The Panthers should at least get one of them.
  7. That's a heavy lift in one offseason with the caps space they are sitting on.
  8. Where you put him is not an indication that it his only role. You seem to want to lock a "type" of receiver in a specific role. Is Theilen not the best receiver we currently have? Does he only play the slot? You play the hand you're dealt and Canales is throwing these guys anywhere the are capable of playing right now. Unfortunately, only Theilen can play them all, not always well at his age but he knows how to get open. The rookies are still learning with mixed results. They are not playing them where they want to but where they have to until they draft more help.
  9. You can play Theilen anywhere. You don't have to just play him in the slot. Yes he's not a burner in the X but I guarantee he could get open there. Theilen is our gap filler until you fill all the wr positions as long as he wants to be. Any chance you get to go young with a good player you take it. The vet is smart enough to play other spots until the kid gets it or he himself is replaced.
  10. PS, We don't have the talent to run either.
  11. Theilen can run any route and is almost automatic on 3rd downs. He may not be as fast as he once was but he is still as shifty and twice as savvy. Unfortunately, he's our only go to guy and every team knows it. My hope is that Coker steps up to be that guy and give Theilen a break. Having both on the field together is an advantage it seems but it's running them into the ground. Still waiting XL catch something over 10 yards that he doesn't unnecessarily jump up in the air to body catch only to drop anyway.
  12. Last season didn't help us much this season. They need to go younger.
  13. He throws it away a lot I agree. But you cannot convince me that you look at this team and say Young is the problem. He may never be more than he is now here but I cannot say that putting him on a better team will not make a difference. That I do stand by.
  14. You have to be able to play both fronts. Incase you hadn't noticed the Panthers run a lot of 4-3 looks. They just really suck at anything they try.
  15. Our situation is the worst. And Young didn't help himself those 1st 2 games. But I contend that if you put him on another team he would have significantly better numbers. Put him on Atlanta last night and they win convincingly.
  16. Jewell did I think. Clowney I'm not sure about as he usually is a rotation guy.
  17. The rush game is solid until they fall behind and abandon it as soon as they go down 1 score. The OL has been world's better but inconsistent. Our situation is still one of if not the worse in the league still. And the defense give up more po8nts than this offense can score no matter how many points the offense scores. So to say we have a better offensive team then those guys and only the qb is holding back is disingenuous at best. Put Young in the Eagls or even Dallas he would be putting the numbers you say matter. That's where I see it.
  18. That's my point. Swap situations and then judge. It's easy to compare stats at face value. But you swap out the qb's and put them on the other team and tell me what happens. It's not so simple.
  19. Ask yourself this. If you put Young on those other teams would he produce better or not? I think we all know the answer to that if you're being honest.
  20. Stop complaining. Folks just love to be miserable i guess. It's easier to ignore a comment and move on but some just love to argue.
