I don't think it's that simple. You are limited by who is available in each draft. Also teams do not run a specific base defense all season. Coordinators base their defense on their opponents so the more versatile your team is at presenting different fronts the better your overall defense will be. That's if you have a coordinator that can scheme them up.

He started to believe in himself again. For all the talk about an Allstar coaching staff nothing they did showed they believed in him. The benching for that hail mary broke him last year. Frank didn't want him and wasn't going to do anything to help improve his macanics until year 2. It was a bad situation all around. I think that will depend on how Young finishes the season. Let's say he plays well enough in their minds to keep him another season. In that case I think they look to draft someone later in the draft if one falls in their laps as a shot in the dark. They will probably try to keep Andy for another year. If Young doesn't show anything convincing going forward then I think they clean house.

Last I heard he wanted a starting job. I'm not sure he gets that with the Vikings. He wouldn't come here because we got him fired.

He played like the kid coming out of Alabama. That's what he has done and what everyone expected him to do from the jump. What almost everyone failed to consider was what it would take to get him to play like that in the nfl. Turns out it was just a matter of confidence.
