I'm guessing that this is what the team is thinking. They really have no choice but look for another qb. I bet anything a new qb will replace Andy and one will be drafted. Hooker will fight for a roster spot against Young and whoever replaces Andy if Hooker is still here. The draft pick will battle Young for starter if Young is still here. If not it will be against the new vet.

I can't explain it to you but in my opinion there's only 3 or 4 in the league right now.

Hes a backup. Thats the only thing he's proven. Thats what the Panthers traded the farm for. If you accept that then you will understand that the Panthers have no chance of winning anything. They still need a No.1 qb and are making the best of a bad situation of their own making. The best you can hope for is that the games are at least entertaining while they lose, and they are going to lose, a lot.

A bad team losing a player it absolutely could not afford to lose.

This team was out of playoff contention before the season ever started.

Under Tepper everyone's seat starts out warn. It's only a matter of how long it takes for it to get hot. How Canales handles his qb situation and how the rest of the team looks this season will determine how hot it gets by game 17.

I can cosign all of this. I would like to throw in a shout out to the rookie kicker.

He bought himself 1 more game. He's still a backup level qb at this point.

You guys need to stop looking for, and comparing every qb to Cam Newton. Its never going to happen again.

I'm sure everyone thought he wouldn't revert back to square one at least. And I'm sure they knew that there wasn't a savior on the street to bring in just incase. This was always the plan. Young just extended the plan but Young extended it by playing well for a few games at the end of last season. He will not be afforded that luxury this season. He has to prove it wasn't a fluke ALL season this year or it's over. Andy is out after this season so whatever happens now will be up to Young.

I'm sure everyone in the building knew that this was a possibility. I mean, if they went into the season thinking that the only outcome for Young would be that he would have an MVP season, then we are royally f*cked. We knew the odds and despite what they've said publicly, knew this was most likely outcome.

Bingo.

They will not fall for that type of resurrection again. His ceiling is a good backup that can come in and win you 2 or 3 games if your starter goes down. That is what he has proven so far. He has to prove he can do it for a full season before that is even considered. The clock is ticking.

I do not think they will pick up his option as it stands right now. If he's benched again he will have to compete for a backup role if he's not traded before he reaches the end of his rookie contract.

I would not matter either way.

Thats what some of us has been saying. Just ride or die with Young as long as they can and deal with the consequences after the season. There is no saving the season if Young can't. If he cannot then it's a high draft pick in our future.

You can find that in the draft. Being able to throw a football 40 yards doesn't make someone a good qb. If that's all you want Young can do that. Just because he hasn't doesn't mean he can't. I've seen him do it in college and even his pro day. For some reason he doesn't and im not sure it's all him. But even doing so doesn't make him a good nfl qb.

I'm sure you will see him around the end of the season unless he's not showing anything in practice. He may not make it that long if he's not improving.

Canales has his own issues with his with preparation. Both his and his players. He got embarrassed against the Jags who made him look like an amateur.

They don't need to do anything. There's 3 qb's on the roster and all are capable of getting us a high draft pick. There's no saving this season because the die has been cast and what will be is already in motion. Buckle up buttercup and enjoy the ride.

Some will, some will never be no matter what. Its the nature of the world today.

They will not trade Young this season. As bad as he's playing they still need him until they feel comfortable that Hooker can backup Andy. So no matter how much some fans want him off the team now it's not happening until the season is over.
