Tepper is trying to be the next Jerry Jones. He's actually the super secret head coach behind the scenes.

You answered your own question in the 2nd sentence.

Observer Young needed to be more than turnover fred
Jon Snow replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brother you need rethink your priorities. I would not spend 75% of my time arguing even if I was an attorney. I damn sure am not doing it for free over a player. -
Thats on Dan Morgan to cut him and to have a backup plan. Until Canales benches him the show goes on. I'm as sick of this crap as anyone brother and I am not going to enjoy another failed reset. But one thing I know for sure is this group is not going to make this team competitive. Giving a bad driver a new car to drive does not make them a better driver. Just saying.
-
What is there to continue? If Canales was showing something other than he is just an OC and not a good one at that then maybe. But I have yet to see one thing in him worth investing in. He's no different than our qb. There's nothing there to build on. The only reason he's here is because he's friends with Dan who had no other option. For that reason alone we a stuck with him. But no, I would not continue down a path I know is going to fail and this experiment has run it's course with me.
-
Canales is responsible. Idzik cannot do anything without his approval. It should be the same with the defense. If it's not then who is the actual head coach? I say fire the lot of the and run Tepper out of town.

I think Miami has enough offense to beat our defense. Our offense is not beating anyone without their help (see Atlanta)
-
When you do that you are signing on for another 3 years of this same dysfunctional offense hoping it's just the qb that's the problem. If you haven't noticed it is much more than that.
-
Pretty much. The Jets are our only competition for the first overall pick. I would prefer us not having the number 1 pick due to our incompetent front office but that is another matter.

The difference between those guys and Young is that none of those guys were as bad as Young or as limited. Young is just not cut out to be a starting nfl qb. It doesn't detract from his accomplishments before he got to the league. Its more of an indictment of the executives on the team that believed he could. -
When, not if the Panthers lose to the Jets the entire coaching staff will be on notice.

You are free to think that. I'm also free to think that his chances of success are slim to none. He has zero chance here. But to each his own. -
Already posted. 0/10.

18 point difference in loses from Canalas
Jon Snow replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
It really should be both. -
I'm not sure we even got that. I thought at one point that maybe he was a backup level qb, but now im not sure i would even say that anymore.
-
I'm not sure what they are afraid of. They are a bad team and are going to lose anyway so what is there to lose? Might as well throw caution to the wind and try to at least not get embarrassed by playing like they have.
-
None of that is worth remembering. Can we just delete that and start over?
-
Andy is about the only coach who would put up with his awful mechanics as long as he could produce on the field. I didn't say Young could do it.
-
Probably not. He would be Young's only hope to find a coach willing to give him a shot.
-
I think it's been well established that that is not going to happen under the current management. Its like booing at the Special Olympics kid. Everyone knows he's not going to win so there's no need to be mean to him. It will be over soon.
-
MVP? Nah. But I will say that if there is anyone that could find a way to use him it would be Andy Reid. But no, I wouldn't be worried about him being any threat to anyone.
-
Exactly. Unless they are practicing how to lose the game? At which point it all makes perfect sense.
-
No, it's not his fault he was drafted. Its not his fault he keeps being put into a position he shouldn't be in. On that I totally agree.

And all of this goes back to who made the decision to go into the season without a real backup plan when this inevitably went south?
-
It was destined to fail from the start. The longer this project continues the more damage it creates. The desperation to salvage something from that franchise crippling trade is evident. But they are oblivious to it.
