There is a lot of LB's in this draft but only about 3 I would truly try to target. One of those will go before we pick and one possibly just before or a few picks after our pick. The other is a day 2 pick and probably 8 or 10 picks before we pick again. So we really need to focus on only 2 of them. We may not get any of them to be honest. But I cannot see Dan going through this draft without making an attempt to get one of them.

There's really only 2 among the group that I would be interested in. That's Freeling and Thieneman. My dream would be Thieneman because I think he is going to be a stud and would make a defense next level good.

They were really interested in talking to one of the oline players from duke during the combine. I thought I heard someone on nfl network say he could play guard and center. That caught my attention.

I think there is a plan for both tackle and center in the draft. But it's not the folks you guys are thinking about.

I believe in time he will prove that he is/was worth a 1st round pick. But im happy that he may be there for our 2nd pick. I think we may have to trade up for him.

It will be unless there is a run on tackles. They may not have a good one left by their 2nd pick. I think if they want one it will have to be at 19 because I think they will be picked out by the time pick 51 rolls around.

You would think they would at least hedge their bet by bringing in a competent backup plan. It looks as if it's Young or bust going forward. May the football Gods have mercy on our souls.

They will have a lot of great options at 19. I have no doubt they will find a way to blow it.

Its also where the top DT's are protected to start coming off the board. I'm thinking it's OT or DT at 19 with OT being a slight favorite. I'm going to be tuning into who the official visits this year.

I'm hoping he's cut when then sign someone else.

I still cannot wrap my head around this move. I mean this guy couldn't make a team as a walk on and they actually want to pay this bum to be a backup here? Dafug is this FO smoking?

Hope he gets a good paycheck. It could be his last unfortunately. I'm always happy to see a local kid make a good living in the league.

I'm keeping an eye on the ILB deals out there to guage about what it would take to sign him.

Everyone thinks these guys are going to break the bank. The reality is that only a handful actually do. The rest just get minor pay raises.

My money is on OT or DT in the first round.

The interview im referencing is his combine interview. He talks in depth about his role. Its really interesting and enlightening to how things work behind the scenes.

I'm sure he gave them insights into why the Chiefs drafted him and what he was like while Tillis was there. It doesn't mean he told Dan to sign him.

You will have a backup at minimum for 3 year's.

Did you watch his recent interview? He does not pick the players. He freely admits he is not involved in choosing what players they go after. He is the guy that sets their value and the value of all FA players. He will argue about salary cap impact and strategies of said players but he doesn't choose who we sign. He only tries to make the best decisions on the money side.
