I don't think we are that bad but we have a lot of bad drafting and team building to overcome. You can't do that in 2 off-seasons, one of which was a Hurney off-season. This team is not as good as many want to believe but not as bad as they appear at times either. They are still growing and building this thing so some patience is needed.

Phil Snow’s defense isn’t equipped to defend the power run game
Jon Snow replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
You just listed what he had to work with for this match-up but expected it to go any differently? News flash, we struggle against good running teams with big offensive linemen. We are built for speed but are light in the ass for power. Our ends are just not good against the run and the tackles can only do so much. -
He played his type of game, the type of game Rhule claims he does as well. He ran the ball and controlled the clock. Jackson and Bouye were exposed. Ron's offensive line outplayed our defensive line and exposed our small defensive ends. His offensive line also manhandled our linebackers on every run play. In short, we were manhandled in the trenches and abused in the secondary. The defense couldn't measure up.

When I heard the team traded for Darnold I was shocked to be honest. I thought why on earth would they take on that challenge. But I considered that he couldn't possibly be the only option they would choose to try at the position going forward. So I like many others tried to keep an open mind. Then I watched the team pass on adding any viable chance of improvement beyond said reclamation project. So again, I tried to keep an open mind. Then the season starts and Sam managed to not screw things up in the first 3 games. I start to think that Rhule just might pull this poo off with this kid. It would be an amazing story for sure. The Cowboys games blew away the smoke and smashed the mirrors that was the Darnold experiment. By then the opponents had figured out Brady's clever schemes to make a broken qb look like he belonged. The offensive line could not overcome their problems and those of the qb at the same time. The offense was FUBAR and by their own neglect were left without any other options on the roster. My how the worm has turned. So my friend, while I was very skeptical of the move I tried support the kid because he was our qb. That is all was can do as fans. Cheers

I'm not sure but it was pretty hilarious there for bit. But as usual it is getting derailed by even more stupidity.

Hand of to CMC a couple of times on every drive should result in TD's without having to throw a single pass.

The moment the Panthers decided Cam would be called.
Jon Snow replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thankfully both the Panthers and Cam realized the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Here's to better days ahead. -
The line play will look different with PJ in, I hope. It's a timing thing really. If PJ can get the ball out when he's suppose to it shouldn't matter in theory. In reality he's got about 2 seconds to find a target or his ass is toast.

Carolina Panthers agree to terms with Cam Newton.
Jon Snow replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think anyone's foolish enough to think signing Cam changes anything. Everyone else still has to do their job or they will be held accountable as well. I believe Cam when he says this is not about PR and a happy ending. It's about winning and he's here to help us win. We will all be able to see where the weak links are in the offense if not else. -
Carolina Panthers agree to terms with Cam Newton.

All of that may be true and it's a valid point. I look at it this way, yes the qb situation is not settled long term but we at minimum have that bridge qb everyone has be clamoring for. And it so happens to be the guy it was meant to be all along. It also buys them time to find his successor and at the same time gives them a real chance to compete. How long the team has will solely depend on how Cam plays the rest of the way. I also think Cams successor will not come from the draft but that's another story. -
I would guess it's from staring at a computer screen from a distance. It looked to me like he was trying to focus on who he was speaking to.

Still have a big game Sunday...what are the keys?
Jon Snow replied to TheMaulClaw's topic in Carolina Panthers
Do you remember what happened the last few times we played backups. Yes,thats right it doesn't matter. If our offense can't keep pace with their offense we have no shot, Murry or not. -
I still have my concerns about his arm lasting a full season but I've always believed in his skill and commitment. I'm still in shock that this really happened to be honest.

Cam has grown so much since his last time here ended. I liked him before but now I love the man. I hope and pray he finds his groove again and we ride together to multiple champions.

Fitterer says " We'll have to do something with Sam. "
Jon Snow replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the ultimate goal is getting Watson. Since he's got a lot of issues right now and has so far spurned the idea of coming here maybe this move helps change that. If Watson comes out of his situation without looking like more of a pervert that is. -
Where is this 'win now' mentality coming from?
