Matt Rhule after SECOND Joint Practice with the Colts
Jon Snow replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
I thinks it more about what they want to see. These scrimmages are just to put these kids on tape so they can study them. Live practices really doesn't give you a complete picture of what's happening on a play. The real picture comes when the film is broken down. Yes best believe there is tons of tape on the starters. Including from this week. I doubt there well be any kind of game plan until preseason game three and that will mostly for the coaches to prepare them for week 1. -

They focused on it for a reason, because they need it. If one of these guys go down, and one surely will, they need to know who to put where. It's not smart to wait until that happens before you try to figure it out. It doesn't mean it will not have it's problems, but you will know it's your best solution and can focus on getting that lineup better and not waist time starting from square one. -

It's practice! They are trying to plan for every situation including injuries they may require shifting people around. Now is the time to figure out who you can put where. It appears to be their strategy and I think it's a smart one. Yes it cuts into reps for the first team but it's as important as their reps to the team as a whole. Patience, there will be plenty of time for ragging if it doesn't produce wins. -

How do you know they haven't already? Rhule said the starters are not playing so he's obviously got them identified or he would not know who to sit right? I think you guys love to be in angst over things you have no control over. -

I think you are expecting way too much from these practices. Of course there will be wrinkles, they are called that for a reason. Every team is at a disadvantage the first few games because there is little to no film on them, you know this. One practice series does not make or break a season. Give me a break. -

How do you practice for an exotic blitz you've never seen? There is zero film out there on what anyone is going to run THIS season? Are they now to be psychic as well? -

I thought that was common knowledge. I guess not. -

It's practice. What film is out there for them to study on these opponents for practice? I think you guys look for things to bitch about. -

I'm still trying to figure out how they are to plan for exotic blitzes that they have never seen and there were no game planning...for practice. Folks do know that there's no game planning for these glorified practices called preseason right? Also they need to figure out the backup QB spot as well. My guess he's not on the team. Darnold will get his "live practice " time in before the season starts. -
That must have been where I was as well. Changed my handle after the great crash.

I don't think so. It could've been on the observer but I'm not sure. My memory is not what it used to be.

What the Indianapolis Colts media is saying about the joint practice
Jon Snow replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Let them have their laughs. But it's not over yet so buckle up bitchez. -
That is going to take more than one off-season to recover from.

Matt Rhule after 1st Joint Practice with the Colts
Jon Snow replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's going to take his lumps this season. That is a guaranteed fact. How he handles that will make or break him. If these kids don't step up I fear we may be in a lot of shootouts this season. Assuming we have the offense to do so. -

I'm more concerned about the defense honestly. Although not scoring at least one TD us concerning. I have to remind myself that it's a work in progress and it's just practice. The test come when the game counts, then we will see if they've learned anything. -
I had almost forgotten him. I had forgotten Nance until someone brought him up. I think I followed him over here from whatever forum it was that we were on back then. I thought @Mr. Scotwas there as well but my memory is not what it used to be.

As far as I can tell we haven't lost a game this season. If and when we do then we all can join in on the hand wringing and finger pointing. I'm not sure how that is being rah rah about anything. -
For f*cks sake can you guys get over this crap already! Either support your quarterback or shut up.

Amazon broadcasted a few Panthers home games last season. I cannot recall if it was every game however. -
So how about that Christensen kid? I think he makes the team and contributes some this season. He most likely starts at one of the guard spots next season. Unless Moton finally decides whether he wants to be a LT. If that happens then he will start at RT. Two problems solved on the oline at least.
