I think he is realizing that he can make those throws and Canales has convinced him that he doesn't have to be perfect. Young has been a perfectionist with his game in the past as he needs to be. It's how he overcomes his "disadvantages" against his peers. Riech and his band of "Allstars" seemed to have reinforced that drive for perfection without helping him develop as a passer in this league. When things went south so quickly Young was in his own head and starting to doubt himself. It got worse from there.

Bryce has always tried to protect the ball and avoid turnovers. He will throw it away before he will force it. Look at his TD to INT in college.

Even in the bad games he was making a great play now and then. He just couldn't get in a rhythm sometimes and penalties came at crucial times stalling drives or killing big plays. Of course the defense was always able to maintain their ability to give up their usual 30 plus points. If we got behind by 1 touchdown the offense couldn't overcome it early on. It was just a mess.

I would like to see a mix in the draft. Use FA for defense this coming season. I wouldn't mind a late round wr or te and rb. Maybe an olinemen if it's bpa. I know we need a lot but as they say Rome wasn't built in a day.

He somehow got Young to finally believe in himself. The kid has always been able to play like this. It was when he came here that things went off the rails. Dave somehow got Bryce to forget all of that and be who he is with some minor adjustments here and there.

The law of averages says they will improve the defense to a level above what it is now, couldn't possibly be worse. Getting enough depth to survive more than a couple of injuries is going to be challenging. As crazy as it sounds Canales not only has the challenge of improving the offensive output and increasing his win total, now there's a full season of tape on it and Young. So in theory the offense could be worse. Yay.

To be fair, every qb struggles with a good blitz especially rookies. That's a good way to ruin a rookie qb as history has taught us.

No we're not. Until that defense breaks into the top 15 this team will be up and down next season. You cannot expect them to win every shootout and defenses will catch onto Canales scheme and Youngs tendencies. Getting to .500 next year will be a good season from where I sit. FA and the draft will have a lot to do with my confidence in that.

Let's put it this way, if he can double his win total from this season I will become a believer.

That's a bit of some high expectations for Brown and his impact after returningfrom injury. It's pretty easy to double team one guy when you don't have to worry about the rest of the line. He's lived that for almost his entire career here. He needs his Rucker type partner in crime. A'Shawn is good but he's nearing the end of his run and it would be beneficial to have a better plan going forward.
