  1. Just curious--when was the last time a backup QB took a team to the playoffs? I don't recall.
  2. Dalton is actually the perfect backup, imo. He and Bryce have a great relationship.
  3. Question: Why do people say, "He loves the game of football" instead of "He loves football?"
  4. I suddenly like our CB depth/
  5. About the unbiased David Tepper plug--I think he is coming around as an owner.
  6. A WR hitting a Db in a practice game with his fists/hands in the helmet is pure dumbassery. People who have said this get it. I love Coker. what a find. (I was begging for us to draft him last year--been a fan for a while.)
  7. TMac is going to be fine.
  8. dammit young!! don't miss that pass.
  9. Is it me, or do the blue jerseys look darker and the stripes a bit more streamlined.
  10. exactly. His reads look slow and timid so far--but his LG has sucked.
  11. I hope they bury Sanders in the Carolina clay.
  12. Scourton and Princely will be interesting, but I think TMac will be the star--
  13. No, I get it. I am just high on Ransom and Richardson--and I think the youth movement will send Scott down the depth chart. I think they are right to make the young uns earn it.
  14. I don't know. First of all, he is a lefty--a southpaw--not sure how the offense will look. Too harsh? Happy for the young man.
  15. that is disappointing--willing to bet he is not starting week 1
  16. Let's see--sign a player with 4 years NFL experience in his prime and cut an undrafted free agent who had about a 0.4% chance of making the team. THAT is an upgrade--even if he gets cut--it give us a better chance of getting better.
  17. LB is one of those positions that is dependent upon other positions--like a QB with a bad OL and sucky WRs--His DTs were good, fwiw.
  18. stats look solid to good vs run, average vs pass.
  19. I can't remember what he did to get blackballed for a while--I don't think he is a racist, however, based on Brandon Parker from NC A&T, a guy Gruden picked in the 3rd round. He is a son of a friend of mine, and they said Gruden was a solid guy--fwiw.
  20. A lotta people compare TEs to those pass catchers who get 1000 yards receiving. We have a potentially great WR room (we are better, from top to bottom at WR than we have ever been, in my view) and we have RB horses and the OL to run the ball--which will be our priority. We have a pass-catching TE and a solid and improving Tremble--I doubt Evans is more than a dependable hybrid TE
  21. This team has been its best with dominate ILBs--
  22. We have a good DL, so maybe that alone will improve the LB play. I think we have 3 decent LBs--low end starters in Rozeboom, Wallace, and Cherelus and Windmon played well in short duty last year. I also think we have 2 UDFAs who could make it---Possibly not as thin as we think.
