  1. Unfortunately it will be Boone. I don’t understand why this staff is so big on a 30 year old who has barely rushed for 500 yards in his career. We should be giving Emani Bailey and Blackshear looks to see what we got there.
  2. Yeah there have been more that retired after leaving here than sprouted somewhere else. Example: Greg Little, John Miller, and Pat Elflein are all out of the NFL now.
  3. Without an offseason to transfer over we are already better aligned to a 4-3. Wallace would fall in the Will LB role, Jewell in the Sam LB role. We would need to go out there and find a solid Mike LB. You have your interior guys with Brown and Robinson. Wonnum and Clowney can play 4-3 DE and the DBs don't change much. The only guys left out are Barno and Johnson and we aren't missing much. This is without a free agency and a draft. It will fall in together nicely after that.
  4. Xavier Legette- I think he still has plenty of time to develop. I don't think he will ever be Top 10 in his position but I think he can grow into a very dependable WR for a long time. Jonathan Brooks- Unfortunately, I think this was a gamble more than anything. Chances are he misses next season too due to injury. I don't think he will ever be what he was drafted to be, maybe he gets healthy and is a Fozzy Whittaker type back in a few years. Trevin Wallace- Showed a lot of flashes, I think he can develop into a solid starter for a while, don't think he's going to be a Morgan, Davis, or Beason. His ceiling is probably James Anderson or AJ Klein. JT Sanders- TEs usually take a while to develop so we will see. Would still like to see us take one Day 2 this year or next to play along side him. Chau Smith-Wade- Honestly, he looks okay. Don't think he will ever be a superstar but he has made some good plays. Jaden Crumedy- I don't know, feels like a bust. I know he was hurt the first half of the season but he hasn't really gotten a ton of reps since he's been back, makes me wonder if the coaching staff is lacking confidence in him. Michael Barrett- Nice job by Morgan trading a 7th rounder straight up for Jackson. Barrett was released by the Seahawks, then signed to Cleveland's PS, and is now sitting on GBs practice squad. Nice win by the GM.
  5. We haven't really had a 4-3 in a while. 2018 was the last season. Capers ran the same 3-4 defense from 95-98. Seifert ran a traditional 4-3. Pete Carroll actually came from his system. Fox ran a 4-3 with both coordinators he had. Ron ran a 4-3 with McDermott and Wilks although their coverages were very different. In 2019 he switched to a 3-4 when Washington was DC. A lot of people think Rhule and Snow ran a 4-3 but it was actually a 3-3-5 and they would flex into a 3-3, 3-4, or 4-3 depending on what Snow drummed up. But I do agree, and prefer a 4-3 defense.
  6. We are looking at getting a HELOC to do some upgrading and finish some projects around our home, I've never used one before. We are looking to sell here in the next 3-6 months and the realtor seems to think it would really help the value- especially the wrapping up of our slow moving projects (patio, outdoor living space, storage building, etc.). We have the cash to do all of this but we aren't really wanting to drop all of that at once due to some other things we have going on. I know the interest rates are high, but for just a few months I think it would be worth it. Have any of you done this before?
  7. Only way I'm okay with Young next season is if there is a serious Plan B. Bring in real competition not Andy Dalton who is probably exhausted by this point. I want a 2nd round guy or a Cooper Rush type to depend on if young gets in his shell again.
  8. I thought this was going to be centered around firing the S&C coach that has been around since Rhule brought him here. Or the worthless training staff we have.
  9. In the end, it really depends who the next DC is and their scheme. Don't sit over there and type with a straight face and say it's going to be Evero.
  10. I have Abdul Carter, Mykel Williams, and then James Pearce ranked in that order. Will Johnson is probably the best DB in the draft hands down.
  11. Today put him at 3175 which passed McCaffrey for 5th on the Panthers all time rushing list. Getting close to Foster in 4th. Idk why the team hasn’t updated the website in 3 years on all time stats.
  12. I don't know what is more annoying. 1) Canales not running the ball on 3rd and short OR 2) Fox running the ball on 3rd and long
  13. We heard the same thing last year and no matter who we bring in next year it will be the same excuse again.
  14. Yeah it takes a while. Go check out 2012 for reference.
  15. No but he is making his trade value go up which I am enjoying.
  16. They have 32 million as it stands. Restructure: Hunt (11 million) Lewis (6 million) Brown (9 million) Restructure Total: 26 million Release: Sanders (7 million) (1.4 DC) Clowney (8 million) (6 DC) Robinson (6.5 million) (2 DC) Wonnum (7.5 million) (1 DC) D. Jackson (3.3 million) (2.5 DC) Tuttle (6.5 million) (2.8 DC) Release total: 38.8 million Total Cap: 96.8 million Dead Cap: 15.7 million Per OVERTHECAP
  17. Probably, because we already paid most of it out in a signing bonus when we drafted him. Most of it will be on our books.
  18. Not really. If he is traded with a post June 1st designation it would be a $6 million hit. If he is cut with a post June 1st designation it would be $16 million.
