  1. My guess is Cincinnati. Dalton starts against his "old team" and that's the local hype narrative that week.
  2. I mean there is the microscopic chance that Canales knew this is how he would perform in his offense and chose not to showcase it until the preseason chaos period was over. Like another poster said above, it looks like this experiment is nearing it's end. Probably not by design, but it there is a small chance it was meant to happen this way.
  3. Yeah I don't listen to them anymore. I do listen to Donnelly, Dennis Cox, and those guys on 99.9.
  4. Yeah said in the other thread- I think the media isn't buying into it anymore. Fowler, Sheena, Person, Newton all had different tones and remarks that were much different from last year. I hope they bring the hard questions tomorrow.
  5. I guess we will find out if he is still Mr. Sunshine at the press conference. He probably hasn't had a tough conversation with him yet. Tepper was slinging drinks in Jacksonville, Screaming "fug" in Tennessee, and shaking his head in Chicago. I can't imagine what he was doing in a loss like this.
  6. I think most of the media has had enough of it. Sheena, Person, and Newton all had an "off" tone during their tweets today.
  7. When Miles Sanders is trying to encourage you to cheer up, you should really re-think your profession.
  8. Hard to say, because we haven't had anyone that can get the ball to any of them the last year. We would find out though.
  9. Idk, it wasn't what he said for me, it was how he said it. Really just reminded me of Rhule tapping he podium "ya know it took 7 years for Jay-Z..."
  10. I said this in the other thread but it fits more appropriately here. He can't see over his line (FYI one of his guards is 6'6"). So waits until he can see and gets sacked.. OR runs out of the pocket When he runs out of the pocket, he gets sacked because he only has half the field available Or he throws a duck because he's running and can't set his feet properly.
  11. Yeah and he did that in Reich's boring, stale, oatmeal-like offense.
  12. He did well. He was giving me Dwayne Jarrett vibes, but perhaps that's Mingo.
  13. I think Tepper has, it's just going to take time to see it. Bryce and a lot of these other guys were already on the team before he rumored to "step back" this spring. My fear is that he has stepped back and poo like today keeps happening and he thinks it worked better with him in the mix everyday.
  14. If he keeps putting this on the field he's done. If he can show some level of improvement from last year, he is safe. The bar is 2 fuging games, it's not high. He can get that with Dalton and a few changes through the season. He has to prove his system works. That's the biggest thing. Bryce made his system look hammered poo.
  15. Right He can't get the ball out quick because he can't see. He runs out of the pocket to see, and gets sacked and everyone screams "protection sucks." His accuracy sucks because he's running out of the pocket to see and can't set his feet.
  16. Yeah, you're right. I was just referring to the pro's of letting Dalton play vs Bryce. We could have players like that on this roster in some of our younger players but we'll never know it this year because we can get the ball to them.
  17. The defense was overrated last year. I don't think they will be in the bottom, but I think they will be in the 20s somewhere. I think they just really got caught off guard and then were gassed because the offense kept giving them good field position and they couldn't catch their breath. Maybe Wonnum and Dane Jackson can help in the rotation too. I have more confidence in them turning it around than the offense.
  18. Unfortunately, I don't think he gets benched for a couple more weeks. I think he starts next week and in Vegas and may or may not get benched during that game. Dalton's first game probably comes week 4 at home against the Bengals, just because I can see that being the storyline all week, him and his former team.
  19. What about being competitive in games, and being capable of winning them?
  20. Then we need to at least see that. Because if Dalton comes in and the same crap happens then fine. But the overwhelming perception is Bryce makes an already struggling team worse and the team is too stubborn to admit it because they mortgaged the farm to get him. And to note, the most productive day we had on offense all season last year was when Andy started in Seattle.
  21. Start Bryce: Pros-Top 3 pick Cons-No guarantee next QB will work out; No confidence front office gets pick right; destroy morale of current players; discourage players from wanting to resign; FA will not want to come to a team with another 2 win season unless you use a ton of cap room; don’t get to see what other guys can do/develop to with horrible QB play. Start Dalton Pros- Increase morale, see what young guys can do with average-ish QB play. Canales can demonstrate his system works to prevent another coaching/GM turnover; more FA likely to be open to signing; more likely to resign guys we want to come back. Cons- Likely 10-15 pick; Dalton probably only has another 1-3 seasons in the tank.
  22. You can do the same thing with Dalton that we did with Darnold when Wilks was here. Use this "supposedly" improved OL and one of our 15 running backs and run the damn ball 25-30 times a game. Dalton can make the throws he needs to like Sam did (and probably better than Sam did). Besides, Canales is supposed to be a Play Action guru.
