QB's are a total coin flip. Ward can be a mega bust. He could also be another Josh Allen. We don't know. Nobody knows. Same with Josh Allen in his draft. Zero NFL teams can accurately evaluate college QB's. Maybe only the Packers, or maybe they got lucky with Rodgers and Love. Do I think we are in position to flip the coin again with this roster? Nope. But I also can't be mad at Dan for flipping it. A franchise QB cures a lot of ills. Almost every NFL team would trade their entire defense for Mahomes. As good as TJ Watt and the Steelers unit is, they would trade every single starter for Mahomes if offered. Same with the 49ers even though they have Purdy.

I think Dalton is good enough for the next couple of years. But I don't know about drafting a WR/CB at the top of the draft. My gut says trade down and hope to get another first in 2026 draft, draft a Parsons or Warner type, then use 2026 to draft a QB and WR combo in the first round like the Bears did this year

We need both a Micah Parsons type and a Fred Warner type. Burns wasn't it, so that trade was still good. Defense is sucking because of Brown out and no playable linebackers. Need to make rebuilding the front 7 a priority next offseason. Dalton is fine starting another year or two until 2026 draft

What I meant is he needs a Darnold Viking support system. I think Canales is the man and we finally have a coach, but we don't have a defense and are a few weapons short. Lawrence demeanor is strikingly similar to Darnold.

Lawrence is a rich man's Darnold. He'll be decent in 4-5 years. We don't have the team for him yet (or the salary cap)

We're (Blowing Rock) focusing on Linville/Newland now and asking for donations of blankets, coats, sleeping bags, and camping gear as its about to get cold. I've been cooking daily for the lineman and town workers. They've been working 7am-7pm every day since the storm, brutal. Finally got power back at our house last night

i’m going to have to get a generator i guess. there’s been no progress on our road. which is totally fine because they need to help out the more remote areas first and get basic infrastructure working. the support has been incredible in Watauga County. asked a search team on facebook to hike up to a family that works for my restaurant that we haven’t heard from since friday and they got up there and gave them food and water. The police and fireman here have been very accepting of outside help. I’m saddened to hear it’s not the same in other places.

I’m still without power. haven’t really been keeping up with the Panthers or news. absolutely crazy scenes, it’s like something you’d see on the walking dead. im safe and don’t need anything, im just sad for the poor people that live outside of town limits in all these towns that have to start over. many didn’t see it coming. don’t care to watch the news and didn’t believe it.

Brown being out for the year is a major bummer. Better running teams are going to keep us off the field. If Brown was still here I'd be a lot more optimistic about the playoffs. As much as you guys want to get rid of Bryce, his value to us isn't lower than a 2nd round pick. If the Panthers trade him for a 3rd round or worse pick, he will undoubtedly come back to bite us in the ass and play super well. 2nd round pick, sure, get him out of here. But we bust so much on later picks that there's no point because we still eat the cap charge
