  1. That's not a comparison I ever thought I would see
  2. Good scoring quarter but terrible defensive one.
  3. Close game to start this one. Adams is of course having his way with the bigs.
  4. I'm sure they'll make another run at Watson, but don't think they'll land him. Why come to a team that is pretty much a clone of what he had in Houston? So, I think they'll draft a QB. That said, they could overpay for a journeyman backup or other low level QB in free agency as well. If they don't take a QB in the first, they'll probably trade back to recoup some of those spent picks. Then they'll probably get cute and pass on the top O-line talent in favor of mid or late round guys while they keep trading back or add more defensive talent. Can't have too many CBs after all. I'm sure some of the bigger names will hit free agency. Those guys playing for teams that aren't really contenders will want even bigger paydays or play for a contender. The Panthers will have to do like the Hornets when it comes to free agents and overpay to land a decent one. All this said, I don't know if the Panthers' braintrust have what it takes to properly evaluate QBs and O-linemen based off the moves they have made so far.
  5. So, not rebuilding now? What happened to it's a five year rebuild and fans need patience? Tepper and Rhule don't seem to have a clue about what they are doing or even want.
  6. Won't do any good. Cam is not riding into BOA on a white horse to save the day. That's either a Lone Ranger reference or a Bass Reeves reference for you youngsters and non-history buffs. Take your pick. Tepper and Rhule won't bring Cam back.
  7. The altercation Jimmy Butler after it happened Chuck and Shaq's take Bonus: Boogie Cousins standing up for a teammate last season when Morris took a cheap shot on him. Personally, I don't want to see anyone hurt, but I think Morris got what he deserved. It was only a matter of time before someone wouldn't take the cheap shots he's done over the years any longer. It just happened to be a seven foot Serb that stood up for himself.
  8. Hopefully he heals up, gets his head on straight, and has better luck wherever he ends up next.
  9. You do know it takes two to tango right? Cam very well might not want to come back. Beyond that, Tepper and Rhule will not swallow their egos. The Cam as a Panther is over and done with. It's time to move on.
  10. With the first round pick they should use on an O-lineman
  11. I agree about Fitt being an incomplete. Robby is probably a bit of both. Sam, again, a bit of both. He was probably Carr'd in NY though. No disagreement about the Oline. Jaycee? Corner was a need, so I don't have a problem with the pick by itself. And yeah, one rookie doesn't make the line, but Slater would have helped an awful lot. LT has been a huge need for a long time and impacts more plays than a corner can. I said at draft time and still believe you go tackle over corner.
  12. He's probably going top ten, or at least top fifteen. Watch him be available when the Panthers pick only for them to pass on him for a QB, defense, or to trade down.
  13. The Panthers will pass on all those guys in favor of a QB, trading down for more picks, defensive players, or taking some guy they think the Saints or WFT want.
  14. If he moves the team, he moves the team. At this point, I don't know if it would bother me in the slightest. I do know I would just quit watching the NFL if that happened.
  15. It was a mostly fun game. I wish they would have played Ish some, but I understand letting Rozier play the point to help get him into a rhythm. We've harped on it for a long time now, but getting a better center is a must. Richards is fine for backup minutes, but still has a lot to learn. He made some mistakes, but he also played decent defense on AD a couple of times without fouling. Plumlee is also a backup at best. I don't know what the Hornets can do to improve the position without making a trade that will probably see them overpaying for a center since the other teams know the Hornets are badly in need of a starting caliber center.
  16. How about cloning him, Miles, and AD? That might work.
  17. Nah. He's the best option to start at this point with PJ hurt and Oubre being inconsistent at best. Hayward does need to get out of his own head though. He's been clearly frustrated with the foul calls this year.
  18. This could be getting ready to get ugly. The Lakers are taking advantage of the Hornets' biggest weakness, the lack of quality bigs.
  19. Richards with two quick fouls. And Miles just picked up one too.
