  1. I'm telling yall right here, if the Jets can land Cromartie, they might be a formidable team. They have Brandon Marshall as a solid number one, and Decker can hold down the number two receiver spot. They just need a decent QB. Probably don't have that in Geno, but perhaps they may draft the QB out of Baylor in the second round.
  2. If that's true, the ain'ts will once again be the dumpster fire of the NFC South for years to come.
  3. Man, and you guys wanted to bring Chip Kelly here as our next coach. Guy would have ran our organization into the ground with his experiments, and he would have traded away Cam by the way.
  4. Hardy's definitely a difference maker, but I think we can win a championship without him. Earlier in the year, we missed his presence, but we straightened it out as the season progressed. Our biggest problems were on the offensive line, the lack of speed at the receiver position, and Charles Godfrey. We corrected the Godfrey at nickel problem, now all we need is a speedy receiver and a good LT. Besides if we did bring Hardy back, it will mostly be a one year deal, and he will miss more than half of it sitting on his couch at home.
  5. Just let the guy go. We have to pay Cam his money, Luke his, and Norman his. Not to mention we need to bring in a good LT in free agency. Those guys don't come cheap. Kony Ealy looks to be well on his way in becoming a good, if not great DE. We still got CJ aka Big Money with us, and he is not as old as most think.
  6. Suspend him for the year. If the Panthers had to go pretty much a full season without his services, then no other team should have him for a year heehee!
  7. If this is the case, tell me why he waited until the day of his trial, to pay off the witness? Couldn't he have done that many months ago and played this past season? That makes absolutely no sense.
  8. To those saying this make Hardy look worse, I'm not sure I understand. Of course I don't understand the settlement thing either. Without Holder showing up, the trial would have been dismissed anyway. If anything, this makes Hardy look generous. Yet all in all, Hardy held out for this trial through the season and was going to see it through. If all he had to do was pay her a little bit of money and the whole thing would have been dismissed, shouldn't he have done that from the beginning? No, this case was flat out dismissed, and Hardy gave her money, making himself look even more innocent.
  9. Wasn't he involved in some sort of domestic dispute? Also, what kind of crowd does he keep? Of course managing to stay out of trouble for one year at college don't mean too much. Once he makes it to the NFL, he will have money. Money can buy a lot of things.
  10. This is the new NFL. No way you take a guy with this many flags in the early rounds. All NFL teams should make a pact to let this kid go undrafted. Let him work his way up so he can learn diligence.
  11. You know what, I almost forgot about the whole Lovie Smith vs Ron "Riverboat" Rivera scenario. With Lovie being in the division, that will make things really interesting year in and year out.
  12. Of course I'm sure he has fans all over Florida. His school hasn't come close to winning anything since he left there.
  13. Of course they could have signed The Golden Calf of Bristol and everybody would have come to see that three ring circus in Florida.
  14. I've found the best recap of what happened in Hardy's condo.
  15. From the call, it seems like there was someone trying to hold his girlfriend back. Shouldn't this person corroborate Hardy's telling of the event? Where are Hardy's witnesses?
  16. Even without knowing all the facts, him being in this situation is enough to say perhaps we shouldn't give him a long term deal. While we never expected him to be involved in any kind of domestic dispute, I don't think I'm all that shock to hear him getting into some kind of trouble. We would be shocked if we heard Peyton getting into trouble. (If memory serves me correctly, I think Peyton was involved in some kind of incident during his college days) We would be shocked if we heard Drew Brees being arrested for something. I'm not shocked to hear Hardy being mixed up in trouble.
  17. Perhaps with all those things, the Panthers should have just let him walk. We know we're going to pay Cam a hefty contract just for being a QB. We're going to pay Luke in two years, and so forth. We can't afford to spend money on guys that have possible issues. So this situation for me just brings back up the conversations all of us were having before we franchised Hardy.
  18. As things stand right now, we probably should have let Hardy walk, and brought in Jared Allen or perhaps even Michael Johnson. We would have still drafted Ealy, and he would have the opportunity to learn behind Allen and CJ. As things stand now, this is just a bad situation all around. Yeah, we could have used that money we spent on Hardy to bring in an OT and on other areas. If Gettleman were really a psychic, he would have let Hardy walk hehe.
  19. I'm tired of all these NFL players getting arrested. Just give me a team of choir boys.
  20. Yep. If indeed Hardy has a nutty girlfriend, the only one nuttier would be him for being with her and choosing her in the first place. As for the situation with the arrest, I don't know Greg Hardy, but from what I've seen of him, he could have an attitude problem. We all have our issues, but for those who have attitude problems, their issues become magazines.
  21. Man, some of us was just fooling around when we said Rivera should be on a one game notice the rest of the season, but the Big Cat isn't messing around is he. I expect to win by 100 today!
  22. Naka's not getting cut. Once last year was up, I definitely wanted him gone. I was surprised to still see him on the team during our first preseason game. All in all, he shined on special team coverage, and that is definitely his best position. Plus, he can throw a judo move on a cat in a second, so he's a keeper.
  23. So if Barner impresses, that will give us another good runner in the backfield. We would then have Cam, D-Will, J-Stew, Tolbert, and finally Barner. No one would be able to tell me the Panthers don't have the best backfield in the league. It's again the resurrection of the million dollar backfield. The major problem however with this, is I have absolutely no faith Rivera has the know how to put all that together. So I'm not holding my breath here. Let's see what they do.
