You can have all the arm strength in the world, but nothing beats fluidity. Stroud of course verified he is the top QB in this class.
-
For those who wanted to trade for Justin Fields, Richardson ran a faster 40.
-
I bet he's saying they will have to pay him to run again.

Nolan Smith with the 4.44! Could be what we need as an OLB pass rusher.

NFL: Bezos barred from bidding on Commanders
Matthias replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Do you not know the amount of companies this man own? Of course this conversation would get into the Tinderbox area, so I won't derail the thread. That said, if he gets his hands on an NFL team, you better believe he will try to lockdown the NFL market hand over fist. Get ready to watch Panthers games on Amazon every other Sunday. -
NFL: Bezos barred from bidding on Commanders
Matthias replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
No one should want Bezos to be an NFL owner. There is enough monopolization in the US as is. He already had the rights this past season to feature Thursday night games. I imagine if he got a spot of ownership, he would desire to lock up more of the NFL inside his clutches. The self declared king of the NFL. -
Looks like Brian Burns is set to have a breakout year.

Panthers met with Hooker per report
Matthias replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
He should be a 3rd-4th round pick at best. -
As a free agent, he would demand interest from teams. Probably would be willing to give him 30+ million a year. I think if the Giants gave him the non-exclusive tag, it would be hard press for a team to give up two first round picks to get him. Ultimately if he can somehow wiggle himself free into free agency, I believe the Panthers should sign him.
-
How many of you are taking Jones' contract demand at face value? He is clearly trying to get out of New York. The fall back is if he does stay, at least he is getting paid. He will likely get the tag, but there's a small chance New York may decide to move on from him.
-
I just heard the report of Jones switching agents and allegedly asking for 45 million a year from the Giants. Now, I see a lot of people taking this at face value in that Jones is demanding this up front. Clearly nobody, and I would say including himself, values him at that much. That's insane. Instead, I believe this is simply his attempt to get out of New York. If he gives an outlandish demand, it might trick the Giants into just letting him go.

Carr can explore right around Carolina.

Legendary Panthers QB at the pro bowl
Matthias replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
By the way, I liked it when the Pro-bowl was after the Superbowl. If done right, it was like a farewell to the season. The main problem is with football itself. The sport is too dangerous to play even in a casual way. And casual football sucks! -
Draft Simulator (Lets see What You Got)
Matthias replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
This simulator is crazy. I was able to draft CJ Stroud, and pick up 3 1st round picks from other teams next year. That means we would have Stroud, and 4 1sts next year. Hold my beer Fitterer!!! -
The only team that would be willing to trade down, would be the Bears. They would be looking to literally fleece the skin of any fool who looks to trade up to one. This means probably for the next three years, the trading team will be forfeiting their drafts until day 3. No way, Jose!!!!! I view all the top QBs in this coming draft as having good upside. (The only thing I fear about Young is his small frame) One of those guys will be available at the 9th pick. I'm good with any of them. Shoot, I kind of have my eye on Marvin Harrison coming out next year. I want to be in the running in getting him.
-
Been a fan of Kris Richard for years.
-
I wish we could put the trading away future 1st picks to bed. If we trade up to say the 1st pick, you better believe we are trading away our soul for the next 2 or possibly even 3 drafts to come. Remember, Justin Fields was selected with the 11th pick. There's a chance CJ Stroud could fall to the 9th pick for us. (For those who want him. I certainly wouldn't be against him if he is available) If he's not there, I wouldn't be against drafting Anthony Richardson or Will Levis. One of those guys will be available at 9.
-
Is CJ Henderson still under contract? Is Keith Taylor? Let them go. Who else need to go man!!! We need to clean house at some positions.
-
Well, he is kind of whining through his lawyer. I don't really appreciate Carolina being looked at in the discrimination lawsuit angle of things. Not that I'm a pom pom guy for these owners, I actually hate the ownership aspect of sports. Yet when it comes to this situation, it's bogus. Heck, even if Tepper had something against Wilks personally, the actual decision of letting Wilks go was the right decision in football terms.

New PFT article on what the Saints want for Payton

Go on record now before the hire is made Re: Sean Payton
Matthias replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
My biggest problem with the Payton discussion, would be the fact we would have to give draft pick compensation. Payton ain't worth that. Let's be real, Payton was lucky enough to have Drew Brees. Look at what Bellichick has done since Brady left. ZILCH!!!!!!! As a matter of fact, why would anyone in their right mind trade for an aged coach? What QB has Sean Payton developed from the ground up? Taysom Hill? LOL!!! -
Giants need to give Barkley more touches.
-
If by a miracle he hits the open market, I believe he should/would be our number one target to bring in.
-
They can franchise him, but he could play hardball. I think when it comes down to it, with Barkley also being a free agent, they will tag Jones because of the position. However if they do, they would have to pay him over 30 million, and would eat up half their cap space. Such a move would certainly see Barkley hitting the open market.
-
We could see Barkley break records today.
