  1. I understand the jokes in here and I am laughing along with them. But honestly, watching where KBs career has gone just makes me sad man. After his rookie year, we all thought we had our WR1. He didn’t have strait line burner speed but was damn fast for his size. Huge frame and catch radius. Winning tons of jump balls. Obviously losing his mother isn’t an excuse for his demise but that isn’t easy for anyone and imo it likely was the start of the snowball effect for him. A serious injury sidelining him. Dude is 30 now. So sure, he’s a full grown man. But as a 31 year old, I understand what it’s like to look back at your last 10 years and wonder what might have been. You make a lot of dumb f***ing mistakes in your 20s. In his case he’s probably looking back at how his career started and the incredible opportunity that, let’s be honest, he has largely wasted in his 20s. Compounded by losing a mother, social media mocking him for weight he gained in the aftermath, people going from praising him to calling him a bust. Again, none of these things are excuses and I’m not making excuses for him. He handled adversity poorly and he f***ed up. But, I feel for him. He’s a human. I know I have plenty of mistakes I’ve made in the last decade and they never cost me millions, derailed my life’s work and I never lost my mom. I hope that dude can get his head right. Even if he’s done in the NFL, I hope he can find a way to come to peace with how that last few years have gone. Best of luck KB.
  2. It seems pretty obvious that you rate Fields way more than our coaching staff did. I was pretty excited at the prospect of getting Lawrence or Fields heading into last season myself. But many teams clearly cooled down on Fields. Two relatively small school QBs went ahead of him. My point is you can lose sleep at night comparing Fields to Horn for the next three seasons but it doesn’t appear our staff was all that interested in him. Whether it was Horn or someone else, it’s likely we were taking someone other than Fields regardless. So comparing them all season is pointless. We clearly didn’t want him. Whether that is was the right or wrong opinion remains to be seen. But he wasn’t ever coming to Carolina.
  3. With his attention to detail on the defensive side of the ball, he could make a HOF caliber DC one day. I get the impression he may not want to. But I believe he could absolutely be brilliant if he ever decides to give it a shot.
  4. I somewhat agree. Think he plays inside this season but think he can be pretty decent there. But I would be surprised to see him at Tackle this year. But I would love for him to step in and crush it. Here’s to hoping.
  5. I’m fully on board the Jones train. Love the potential. Want him.
  6. I don’t really see why we wouldn’t start him at LT other than he just doesn’t want to. But that would also be odd because he’s done well there before and could make himself more money.
  7. Man, I could not disagree here more. Yes you are correct in saying the defense was terrible on 3rd down. But we all expected that. We regularly started 4 rookies on defense for most of the season. We had a backup caliber MLB who could not cover anyone in the middle of the field and poor safeties covering down field to help our CBs. That problem has been thoroughly addressed this offseason. But I feel our defense tremendously overperformed for what we had. I expected us to have a decent offense last year but one of the worst defenses in the entire league. Snow REALLY impressed me last year. I figured our only shot of winning games would be outscoring our opponents. At least that side of the ball had established talent where our defense had virtually none heading into last season.
  8. The never ending cap well in New Orleans. According to legend, the only site more rare is the fountain of youth. But somewhere down in Louisiana there is a swamp with a salary cap well that they say can bring bucket loads of cap space with the blink of an eye.
  9. I will probably catch poo for this but for me, I agree way too many numbers are retired and the only one that should be considered imo is 89. And I say that as someone who’s favorite Panther of all time is Peppers. But not even 90 is deserving of being retired imo.
  10. Three weeks ago you understood hesitancy on the vaccine. I can only assume then that it just be the internet cred that has you mocking and demeaning anyone not on board now. I still enjoy your posts man. I don’t particular enjoy being called an idiot for a year now for being concerned about something that has valid reasons to be concerned about.
  11. Yeah dude. I’m too stupid to do anything other than fast food as you no doubt are aware. Same as Sam and CMC naturally.
  12. https://apnews.com/article/virus-outbreak-health-middle-east-africa-united-nations-619efb65b9eeec5650f011b960a152e9 https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/world/africa/un-says-new-polio-outbreak-in-sudan-caused-by-oral-vaccine/2020/09/02/2da5cf4e-ecf9-11ea-bd08-1b10132b458f_story.html%3foutputType=amp I’m done posting about this poo. I’m just tired of people acting like anyone who doesn’t take the job is an unintelligent murderer. Please stop with the nonsense. Again, look at the CDC numbers. But I’m done with this for today.
  13. Fair enough. But there are hoards of people also believing this is amongst the most deadly plagues to ever introduce itself to the population. They quite science. But then go to the CDC and look at the he death rates by age and how many people have secondary factors. There’s a very real chance many athletes have had it and never knew they had it. Has it killed people? Absolutely. But the paranoia reminds me of those terrified of Islamic extremists. The fear is far greater than the actual threat
  14. Not really hard to imagine CMC and Darnold have literally the best doctors around giving them advice and discussing it with them.
  15. I thought they did fairly well last year. I am actually not too worried about the Oline. We added a lot of depth in FA and some starting competition in the draft. I think they will be alright.
  16. Welp. They’ve probably been unvaccinated and going out for months now. And there’s a 99.8% chance if they get it they’ll shake it like everyone their age. Especially considering they are elite athletes.
  17. I prefer win the big one. At this point the Panther have existed for a 3rd of my life. I was quite young when they came into existence but have been a religious follower since day one. So with a 3rd of my life gone, there’s a real possibility I never see them win it. And as a die hard Liverpool supporter (more than the Panthers) I can tell you there is NOTHING like seeing your team lift the trophy. Best feeling as a fan that you could possibly imagine. I want that.
  18. If you told me we could win the SB this year but would then have losing seasons for the next decade... I’m taking that deal. I just want to see us win one in my lifetime.
  19. Yeah Turner just doesn’t have the love and desire. I don’t blame him. He got his money that sets him up for life. But I wouldn’t be interested in him if I was any team in the league at this point. Unless you just REALLY need help.
  20. It’s going to take a long time before Terrace Marshall has his name spelled properly in these forums. And the answer is Terrace Marshall lol.
  21. I hear you. But Brown is more to me than just a space eater I guess. He’s that plus a violent play disruptor if not double teamed. I think of Jones as a space eater. Brown is more than that which is what made him warrant the pick imo. I know we aren’t really disagreeing with each other. Just making my case that he isn’t just a big body. He must be accounted for or he will cause hell in the middle of the line.
  22. I understand that as well. I would not be in favor of a LB that early. I am pretty much opposed to taking a RB in the first round ever. So I do get it. That said, DT is just such an important position. I just don’t understand the positional value argument I’m relation to DT. Because the best ones eat two blockers. That gives so much leverage to your edge rushers and LBers. Obviously it isn’t the most important position on the field but it plays such a huge role that gets overlooked by the casual fan. I was of the mindset from day one that I preferred to keep Star over Short. And clearly Short was a great athlete but Star made his job significantly easier. A nasty DT makes the job easier for ever single player on the line. I wanted Brown months before the draft process had started for this reason.
