  1. Best of luck to them, since Charlotte is not really an option. MLB in Nashville seems to be a sure thing, so it'll be interesting to see if/how that affects Dundon's bid.
  2. Agreed. Like I said, I didn't like going for 2, but I get why they did it. There's a lot more pressure on Viniateri's last second FG if the Pats are down by three.
  3. I didn't like the call, but I understood it. Up until that td drive, we had 130 yards in total offense. And it was the 4th quarter. Bottom line, if we convert the first 2 pt conversion, we eventually have a 25-21 lead, and probably win the game. If we only converted the 2nd, we probably go to OT.
  4. Yeah, there was no way to know that game was going to become a shootout. I don't blame Fox for going for two ... I just think about how different the game would've been if we managed to convert one of them.
  5. I don't obsess over that Super Bowl. If the NFL network shows it, I watch .... turning it off right after Proehl's touchdown. We lost one of the greatest Super Bowls ever played. What can you do? On the other hand, I have never re-watched one second of Super Bowl 50. Too traumatic.
  6. If they had been Raleigh FC, I would've been spared the trouble of watching them.
  7. If you say so. We're a small market team, so we're always going to have to overpay. Better get used to that idea.
  8. No, I mean the message that it sends to the fanbase. Luck your way up in the lottery and draft a young kid with star potential, who wants to be in Charlotte. Then let him walk because you're too cheap to pay him.
  9. Letting him walk for nothing would be far more crippling to this franchise.
  10. I remember when our team name was announced and thinking, "As in Michigan Panthers? Ugh." Then I saw the logo, and was cool with it. That's all I have to say about the Michigan Panthers.
  11. The way I remember it, most people here were pretty much done with the NBA after the Hornets left. Of course, nobody knew that city council already had a deal with the league to get another team.
  12. That doesn't seem likely. But I guess we'll see.
  13. I've read that he's about to sign an extension. If Melo wants to stay here, we build around him.
  14. I read that Portland is open to trades. New Orleans could work a deal with them, contingent on us drafting Miller.
  15. Same as every year. I'll go about my life as normal, and check my phone at 11:00 to see who went where.
  16. Does market size even matter in the NFL?
  17. I guess we'll find out.
  18. Gambling on games and attending games are two different things. Most states have legalized sports betting anyway, so you don't have to go to Vegas to do it.
  19. Orlando only has the NBA and MLS. That's about 50 events per year. If Vegas gets the MLS and NBA, they're looking at 200 events per year. That's a lot of tourists.
  20. So the A's just bought land for a new stadium in Vegas. I get that we'll probably never have MLB in Charlotte, but how does LV go from zero pro teams to three ... in just six years? Is that even sustainable?
  21. Yep. I switched from cable to YouTube TV a couple of years back. Saved me about $50/month. When football season comes, I add the sports tier ($11/month) to get RedZone. When the season's over, I drop it. It does suck not having RSN's, though. Haven't seen a Hornets or Braves game in years.
