  1. 2005, we were coming off a loss to the Cowgals, and we went into Atlanta and demolished them.
  2. Like I said, didn't watch much of it. But the part I did watch, Boise State drove the ball down the field, got an apparent td that was called back due to a hands to the face penalty. Then the BSU qb threw a wounded duck pass that the safety caught looking like a baseball center fielder. A TD there cuts it to a 3 point lead. Then Penn State goes 3 and out, and BSU drives it 55 yards for a missed 38 yard fg attempt. After that, I changed the channel. Admittedly, its a small sample size, but it appeared to me that Boise State had a case of nerves playing on a national stage.
  3. I watched about 10 minutes of the game last night, seemed more like Boise State blew its chances to win than Penn State dominated. Hands to the face penalty that cost them a TD and then an ugly interception. Then a missed relatively easy fg.
  4. Well, our defense looks a lot like Detroits, so we have that going for us.
  5. You must not have been around for the early years of either one. At least on this message board, there were multiple people who wanted to replace both of them.
  6. I think the majority of defenses operate that way now.
  7. Yeah, and with Rattler, I doubt the Aints have much of a shot
  8. Not really sure. I am in a hotel and the picture is a little flaky. He did just make a great throw over the middle, but the defender was a little better.
  9. Honestly, aside from 1 or 2 plays/plaers, I am fairly pleased with the play of the offense. Thielen with a 100 plus yards in 1 half is fanastic. Defense, well not much to say. I hope Pinero's struggles are due to injury.
  10. Looking at Tampa's injury report vs ours, they look to be about the same. Everyone is a little banged up this time of year.
  11. The NFC playoffs will be very interesting. I think five teams have a shot at the SB (Rams, Eagles, Packers, Vikes, and Detroit). The AFC is going to probably end up being which team loses to KC in the championship game.
  12. Chicago has the worst end game management I have ever seen.
  13. Great play by Williams and Moore. That was crazy pressure by Seattle though.
  14. In my lifetime, its Jim McMahon. In fact, without a torn rotator cuff, he might have ended being a very good qb.
  15. Irt my original comment, I wasn't necessarily saying that they had to do it this year. Just that they need to draft someone to take Wilson's place eventually. And it would be great to have someone sit for a year or two while wilson is still able to play. But my point about the draft is, is it a stinker? Its really impossible to tell. To often, the great qb classes (2021) turn out to be not great, while the lesser hyped classes are better than advertised.
  16. Impossible to tell until they actually play in the NFL. Until then, its just a guess.
  17. Steelers run game was fairly effective in the first half, but the Chiefs adjusted and Pittsburgh hasn't been able to pass the ball on the KC side of the field.
  18. If I am the Steelers, I am looking for a qb to draft that can sit on the bench for a year or two behind Wilson, ala Jordan Love.
  19. Chiefs defense looking very good today.
  20. Given the cap situation, they are stuck with him for a couple of years, unless they want to take a massive dead money hit.
  21. The Tankers always mention Justin Herbert. If only we had been one pick higher. But the never mention that Herbert was arguably only the third best qb taken in that draft. The best was Burrow, but number two is probably Jordan Love. But due to some very bad analysis, Love wasn't picked until the 26th pick. We easily could have had the second best qb that year without tanking or trading draft picks, if only predraft analysis had been better.
