Currently watching Stroud and AR dominate
Davidson Deac II replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fwiw, Baker Mayfield has looked good this year. And yet we dumped him after a few games last year. I do hope we do have some patience with Young. -
Just how BAD is Bryce Young?
Davidson Deac II replied to BrisbanePanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, in fairness, the QB experts on the huddle wanted Mayfield gone after two games. And now he has a good shot at being the QB of one of the better teams in the NFC. -

Hubbard running well. We should let Matt Rhule's wife make all our running back draft picks. -
My wife's car got tboned in a parking lot last year, so we had to buy her a new one. We did order a specific one, vin number and all. But it did come in a couple of weeks earlier than initially promised. Personally, I had no issue with it. I think they just give you the latest possible date.

Hot Take? That Was A Positive Game For Us

And the Saints or Falcons would have picked Dalton off a couple of times. Dalton made several bad throws in the second half when receivers were open and he had time. The weather might have been a problem, but he didn't play well. -
We didn't draft Young to be good immediately. We drafted him to be good for the next 10-12 years, (if he works out).

Except for the dline, the entire defense is beat up. No Shaq, no Luvu, no Woods. I am not sure if Henderson finished the game. I know that injuries are not an excuse, but they are sometimes a reason.
-
Baker's time here was very forgettable. Ironically, he might be the best though. He has looked average for Cleveland, Tampa, and LA. Only looked horrible under the Rhule regime.
-
I almost feel some sympathy for DJ. The qb's throwing to him have been atrocious. Gimp armed Cam Newton Kyle Allen PJ Walker Sam Darnold And Justin Fields might be the worst of them.
-
Agreed Unfortunately, their offense has some excellent playmakers, and Geno is adequate at times. And half of our back 7 is on the sideline with injuries.
-
Would prefer to just play the Seattle defense all season. If we could play the Seattle defense and the Falcons offense all season, we would win ten games.
-
Looking at some of the box scores today, the 2021 qb draft class may be one of the most overrated in history, with only Jones and Lawrence being adequate.

Official Panthers at Seahawks GameDay Thread!

They are going to have a ton of yards with very few points to show for it. Not that it matters, our offense looks horrible at this point. -
Our offense with Bryce scored more points against the Aints than any team has this year. Unfortunately, we had to go up against the Saints with Carr, while the Packers got to face Winston in the second half.
-
Saints have one of the top 2 or 3 defenses in the NFL. Their offense however is subpar, even with Carr. Without him, they are really bad.

If I were a Jacksonville fan, I would be very concerned about Trevor Lawrence right now. -
Sometimes simplest is best. Third and short and your Oline had been recently run blocking well, just sneak it twice.
-
Dabo or his o coordinator really over thought things a couple of times. Third and very short, and throw it sideways is not a good call.
-
In the last ten years, Graham Gano has been one of the top five kickers in the NFL. Still don't understand why we got rid of him, although I don't have any complaints about our current kicker.
-
The throw to Mingo toward the end of the game was perfect. He threw it to a spot just before Mingo started his break and put it on the money at 20 plus yards in the air. And Mingo ran a great route. Young has a lot of work to do, but I disagree with those who say there are no positive signs.
-
If given a choice between Bryce avoiding sacks because he is strong and agile, or avoiding them because he gets rid of the ball quick, I really hope he can learn to get rid of it quick.
-
Cam didn't usually avoid; he ran over people. That might be why he didn't last as long as those that learned to just get rid of it.

The Aints have one of the best defenses in the NFL. And Atlanta's improved a lot over the offseason. Not good defenses for a rookie qb to be judged on. It will be interesting to see how he does against the upcoming defenses.
