  1. He absolutely is. Has won every where hes coached and would win here. If Michigan is dumb enough to fire him because he didnt meet their unreasonable expectations he would be my first call
  2. Guy got exposed in the Super Bowl he’s Joe Brady with a generational QB and 2 hall of fame receivers hiding his flaws
  3. Hes the best coach Michigan has had in decades. The only people that think hes a disaster are their delusional fanbase that think they should be in the CFP playoff every year. He will have 4 10 win seasons in 7 years after this one is finished
  4. We did not. Which is why we lost my point was this is not college football and we are not Alabama. We are not going to every game as the more talented team and just have to not shoot ourselves in the foot to win there is talent on our defense, there are also alot of guys that would not be on the field for most teams like Carter, Anderson, Luvu, Chandler and whoever the corners besides Bouye and DJax are. It shouldnt be surprising that teams with pro bowlers at QB, RB, and WRs like the Cowboys and Vikings are able to score on us.
  5. The other team gets paid to make plays too. The Vikings have a Top 5 running back, 2 great receivers, and a pro bowl caliber QB. Add Horn and Shaq being out and put a PS player at safety and yeah days like today will happen the first 3 games Darnold had 2 total turnovers. He’s had 7 the last 3 games. That’s why were 3-3 and not 6-0 theres a few teams in the league like the Bucs that are stacked with talent and a few teams like the Jags that are very devoid of talent. Everyone else is pretty even. Games get decided mostly by who gets off the field on 3rd down and who turns the ball over less
  6. 18 months ago we had the worst roster in NFL, now were 3-3 with a great young core. Eagles loss was inexcusable but Cowboys and Vikings are more talented teams than us and we made too many mistakes to win but lost one by 7 and the other in OT. All 3 of those without CMC by the way. The fact were even competitive with a bust QB and the worst OLine in football is a testament to Rhule getting the most out of his players
  7. Thats WHY he punted. It was 15-3 and the Eagles had shown nothing on offense. Why try a long field goal with a shaky kicker or attempt a 4th down with a bad OLine and give them the ball at midfield and give them a chance to score and not just let them cut into the lead but also give their offense confidence going into the second half? if thats how it would have panned out the same people would be blaming him for not trusting his defense and taking an unnecessary risk when we had the game in control already what the analytics dont tell you if how the flow of the game is currently going. I really didnt think at any point yesterday the game was in jeopardy until that punt got blocked and the Eagles got the ball at our 20. Im convinced if we get that punt off and the Eagles have to go 70-80 yards they probably stall somewhere around our 40 and turnover on downs like their last drive and we win the game 18-13
  8. You can blame coaching but reality is we had no business losing that game unless we shot ourselves in the foot and he coached under that assumption Rhule didnt throw 3 unforgivable interceptions and didnt let a punt get blocked in our own territory up 5 late in the 4th
  9. Basically what happened in 2019 i dont buy the idea of rebuilds taking 5 years. The 49ers had 2 seasons in between being the worst team in football and having a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl. If you acquire blue chip talent in the draft and develop your young players you can put together a title contender pretty quickly
  10. Are we sure he isnt better than Carter? i think we really overrate Carter because of how bad Whitehead was. Whitehead would make any JAG look like Patrick Willis
  11. Itll matter again when Uptown is filled with a bunch of obnoxious fat asses in green and white sweat stained jerseys on Sunday morning
  12. My barber in uptown is a Cowboys fan (of course right?) on Saturday he felt good because he said if both teams played their best games then the Cowboys would win. It was hard for me to argue yesterday i felt like the Cowboys played about as close to a perfect game as possible. Dak didnt get sacked one time, he got the ball out quick and I dont remember him missing a throw. Zeke and Pollard had tons of room to run it felt like every play. No turnovers, no back breaking penalties, and they got after Sam on the other hand while we did some good things on offense, we also had 2 killer INTs by Sam - one was a TD if he throws to Marshall instead and the other swung all the momentum in the game and felt like a killshot. The missed field goal and the terrible call on the Chinn fumble were 2 huge bad breaks I think as fans we get too emotional and passionate and assume the strengths of our team should always work in our favor and forget the other team has its own strengths as well and get paid to play just like our guys do. It’s also dumb to bring up injuries because Lawrence, Collins and Gallup are significant missing pieces for them as well THAT ALL BEING SAID. I came away pretty optimistic about the rest of our season after yesterday. I felt like we got every bad break and felt like Dallas played their A game while we played our C game and it was still a tight game. 3rd quarter was a disaster but every other quarter we either tied or outscored them and when you look at the box score the yards and first downs were about even and we controlled the time of possession. Those looked like 2 evenly matched teams and one team got all the good breaks and we were the ones that made too many mistakes which is why we lost. At no point did I feel like we were overmatched and thats one of the more talented teams in the league. compare that to last season where we had to play our A game and good teams had to play a C game for it to be close like the Packers or Chiefs games
  13. Exactly. Happens all the time. Guy is on shitty team and looks checked out then goes to a contender and all of a sudden hes been revived
  14. Dak is an elite QB and Cooper and Lamb are a great tandem. The OLine is not the dominant OLine theyve had in the past and Zeke is a shell of himself. On defense they have some big names but they do not play very well as a whole
  15. They spent the last 3 years maxing out their salary cap and putting all their eggs into a 40 year old QB while we spent the last 2 offseasons stacking our defense with Avengers characters. The next decade will be ugly. Our oldest core player is Shaq and he’s 27 lol
  16. Because they have a delusional fanbase that thinks their program’s past makes them still an elite program, like Michigan Football and Indiana Basketball fans and that any coach that wouldnt come crawling to them is a fool they dont have the resources teams like Bama, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas etc have and the whole “recruiting hotbed” argument is moot because all of the elite programs these days recruit nationally anyways
  17. The job and being in LA isnt what people wanna make it out to be. Their stadium is ancient, facilities are not on par with SEC and Texas programs, and no matter how good USC is theyre always gonna be at best the number 3 show in town behind the Lakers and Dodgers, compared to places like Bama, Clemson, Ohio State where the entire area code revolves around the football team. Not to mention the campus is about 1 or 2 wrong bus stops away from being in Compton
  18. Its something to consider to that CMC has such a great skillset as a receiver that even if he cant be a bellcow for more than 3 more years you can easily move him to the slot full time and he spends the next 5 years as a Wes Welker or you move him around like we used Curtis Samuel where he lines up in the backfield sometimes. I truly do think we’ll get a solid 10 years out of him. He’s basically only played 3 full seasons because his rookie year he really wasnt on the field much and last year only got 3 games. 2018 he also had Cam taking alot of the punishment. So really at this point 2019 is the only season where he really had to carry the offense
  19. Hes getting touches but its not like hes getting used as a battering ram 30 times a game like Derrick Henry. I think getting like 15 carries and 10 catches out of the backfield per game is pretty healthy workload. As someone said his catches are in the open field and hes not having 300lb falling on him
  20. The pregame lineups! what in the actual hell looked like they had never gone over it before. Players getting introduced while still in the tunnel and out of order. The comms person with the headset looked like she was scrambling like crazy
  21. I really didnt have an issue with it. Up to that point the Jets had run 9 plays and including penalties had a net of negative 16 yards and hadnt even made it to their 40 yard line. Why risk an unknown kicker missing and giving the Jets field position they otherwise wouldnt get on their own? When we played the Chiefs last year we saw Rhule pull out every imaginable risk with fake punts and 4th down attempts because he knew we would need to score at least 30 points to win. Yesterday he probably knew 17 should have been enough. We complained that Rivera had no situational awareness and would have the same gameplan and approach for every team we played yet were getting pissed at Rhule for actually understanding the situation?
  22. We played a team that had zero chance of beating us straight up. When thats the matchup you play conservative and try not to beat yourself with unforced turnovers. This game was never in doubt and it was like 2 plays from being 27-7. Just be happy with the win and hope we bring it against NO next week
  23. Theyre gonna double Olsen and keep Cam in the pocket
  24. Its not as uncommon for NFL players to dip as you might think. Alot of them do it just to simply stay awake during meetings
  25. Were really trying to draw conclusions from a preseason game where our QB1 threw one pass and our running back that accounts for like 70% of our offense is on the sideline with a backwards hat the whole time lol the only logical conclusions you can make is that Slye is not the man for the job and Brady’s red zone playcalling is concerning
