Broncos cut safety Caden Sterns
Dingo_ate_Babies replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
How does waivers work in the NFL? Did we waste a waiver claim on him or are we still first in waiver priority? -
Plummer is the next Peyton Manning, didn't you know? You heard it here first.

Lol, Ian Thomas gets so much hate. Look, he's not a receiving TE (gets an occasional big catch), but he does everything else reasonably well. You can't fault him for taking that big contract extension. He was at least loyal enough to accept a pay cut.

oh darn, how will we ever survive this?

Who needs a million dollars? Apparently, nobody
Dingo_ate_Babies replied to PanthersATL's topic in Huddle Lounge
My dad is essentially doing this. He's retired, makes social security, and lives alone. No mortgage and limited bills. He just has to buy food and limit his expenses. He doesn't need much money-wise at this point of his life. He also relies on the generosity of others. -
After Avengers End Game, most of the newer marvel movies failed because of poor choices surrounding new/replacement superheroes. The ones that didn't were movies with heroes kept from the early Marvel phases. e.g. Guardians, Dr. Strange, Spider-man, Thor. A lot of the new heroes are with female leads. I don't have an issue with female leads (I like Captain Marvel), but some were poor choices. Some examples: Boseman died and they could of used the multi-verse to bring in Killmonger as Black Panther. Then you have Ms. Marvel which was a flop. Then there's Iron Heart which was another lame character. Eternals was also a flop (mixed cast, but nobody cares about these guys). What they should of done: Give the fans what they want. Cast the right people for the right roles and stop appearing to try to push an agenda.

He wasn't likely to make the team anyway and even if he did, he would barely play barring major injuries to the RB unit.
-
He must of not known he was going to speak and got nervous in the moment. If he did, I don't know why you wouldn't of had something prepared.

Should the Carolina Panthers extend Diontae Johnson?
Dingo_ate_Babies replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's suggesting to extend DJ at 22 million a year without him even playing a down for us, because if he has a good year then he'll want 30 million a year. That's dumb. Even if he has a good year for us, he's not worth 30 million a year. If he expects that, then tag and trade him. -
I don't think it was a luxury pick. Chuba and Sanders are not really starter material and won't be the future here. Sanders would have been cut if not for the contract (and will get cut after this season) and Chuba is in a contract year. Even if we keep Chuba, he is more of a #2 back.
-
If you remember, we traded down in the 2nd round in order to get back next year's 2nd round pick that we lost in the Bryce trade. We were still able to snag the best RB in the draft (albeit injured). If he can return to form mid-season and then give us 3 good years after that, it would have been all worth the initial sacrifice. Some of you are knee jerking on the immediate issue, but fail to look at the long game.
-
We drafted him knowing he's not going to play right away. This was a pick for the future. We still have Chuba and Sanders for this year anyway, so him playing isn't critical. I suspect we won't see him play till mid-season.

Haha! Who says I have 0 accomplishments? I make plenty of money, have a beautiful family, and own a house in an area people would die to live in. Worked hard in my younger years, so that I have the free time to dick around on here. I won't ask what you've done. I'm not an NFL player, but who is? I don't need to be one to know that being All-pro in minor leagues means nothing in the NFL. -

Panthers signing UFL all-pro WR

By the way. I want all players that we sign here to succeed, because it helps the team. That why I'm a Panthers fan. I just don't expect a lot of from minor league players, because they rarely pan out. -

Does it matter? It's an opinion. I guess all the NFL analysts and podcasters who talk football but never played, they can't talk down about players? Nobody here played in the league, that's why we're all here. -
