It is subjective, but the Panthers might not be as bad as they look. Any team with a strong running game, and good defensive pressure will be a force in the NFL. Garrett, Clowny and a Chubb are awesome pieces and they are dominant at their positions. Let’s see where the Browns finish but they look like contenders early on in the season. I know it is unpopular in this forum, but the Panthers are not that bad of a team. They make stupid and untimely mistakes but they are a dangerous team.

Ah I am going to say that the Browns are a solid team. Top 1/3 in the NFL, even with Jacoby behind center.

Give me some hope. Can this offense be turned around?

Rub some dirt on it, Moton is on the dirt enough the last two weeks.

I agree, let me be more clear. 5 db’s up to 3 safeties, 0 interceptions and how many PBUs? It’s hard to generate constant pressure with 3 linemen. If it is not working try something different. Snows situational football IQ, is in the single digits.
-
You mean Phil Snow had a plan, to run a 3-3 and it has not worked. How can you have 5 guys in coverage and still give up this many passing first downs? Rhule is a puppet, Snow is the master. Unfortunately for us, Snow is a baiter.
-
Some believe that a change in defensive philosophy would make a huge impact on the success of this team. The 3-3 is just not generating enough pressure on 3rd downs. If we could win 40% of the 3rd down battles we would be undefeated.

If ever we get a turnover it would be the next game. Lobster fingers is coming to town, maybe someone can get a pick six.

With the talent we have, we should be. However…….

For contrast, just how bad is our OL STILL?
philit99 replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
Question is how many times did the giants blitz? PFF grades per individual, so to get a better picture how many times did the giants send 5 or more? That is where the pressure is coming from. Hum, whose job is it to slide protection? Hum, interesting . -
I believed in Baker. But I was wrong. Also, the OL sucks ass.

I’m not defending Baker, but Shi slowed down on his route. However, the ball would have still been overthrown. I suspect we will see every team blitz the bejesus out of us, because we have almost no hot routes, everyone is getting medium to deep. We absolutely abandon the run game every time, I just don’t understand what the coaching staff is doing? -
Official Panthers at Giants please god let us win a game thread

That is one reason Baker is valuable, he has had to do that in most of his pro career, except in 2020. -
Would you be pleased if we hired Byron Leftwich??

If he brings in Tom Moore, and it depends on the DC. Everywhere Tom Moore goes Lombardi’s follow. He is ancient though. I would be excited about the offense and worried about the defense. I wished we could get Tomlin personally. -
Excellent job. I hope the offense begins to gel, cause we will need to score as many points as possible with our Swiss cheese run defense.
-
Actually, the kick most likely would not have happened. It was 13 seconds left. The penalty would cost the Browns 10 seconds and the clock would start on the officials ball placement. The kicker would have to run like hell and pray that he can get set and snap the ball in less than 3 seconds. It would not happen.

I’d prefer

The real poo played center and had 100% snaps.

We would have a NFL defense again. I think Vic would be a good hire.
-
I agree. We should hire the best person possible regardless of ethnicity. If the argument is that we need more ethnic diversity at the head coach position, then let’s first ensure that the coordinator positions are filled with the OP’s desired ethnicity. That way you have more qualified candidates for the head coach position. It is hard to say let’s hire a coach with a different ethnicity, yet the pool of candidates are so small. There are way too many fallacies for the OP‘s position. Straw man, anecdotal, logic, slothful induction to name a few.

Dude are you going to preach diversity and inclusion, then say here comes the “fair skins?” That’s fugged up.
