  1. Frankie Luvu is about to be the 5th or 6th best player on this team out of necessity
  2. Tepper doesn't care about price, he just wants his QB. It will also line up perfectly with Rhule's 7 year plan, since we'll need the next 5 years to rebuild the roster around Watson with no picks, no Chinn/Horn, no Burns/Brown, or whatever we end up parting with.
  3. If this is happening, just hope we're not bidding against ourselves like we did for Darnold. Even if he's cleared of all wrong-doing, his stock has dropped. We shouldn't be shelling out 3 firsts & multiple players for this dude. This year's first, next year's first, CMC, and a defender is probably the price. The old idea of 3 firsts, more picks, Chinn/DJ or whatever is even more crazy now.
  4. With the reports that nearly everyone on the roster is on the table to be traded, I'm now terrified that Rhule is here beyond next year. If Rhule's job was on the line, why potentially trade away our decent players & essentially punt on next year? If Rhule gets to tear it down again, pick a QB, & trade away our decent players? Bills Mafia, here I come.
  5. We need ATL to fall in love with Willis and a team who loves him more to jump them to 6. Denver, WSH, Minnesota or even Cleveland...need one of y'all to love Willis. Whether it's Cross, Penning, or Linderbaum, one seems likely to be left over in 10-14 range that would make us happy. Hell, even Pickett for us after a trade down if that's where the staff goes.
  6. Elflein hasn't been healthy in 3 years now. Might be a fine opening day lineup, but I'd rather not count on him for more than depth.
  7. If we take baby hands, after arm length was such an issue for the OT's...Rhule can just STFU about anything ever again.
  8. Not an apples to apples parallel, but I've talked myself into taking Willis at 6 mirroring the Hornets taking LaMelo in the draft. There are questions, it may take time, etc...but it's the homerun potential pick. If Willis works, he's the highest ceiling guy in the draft. At this point, we have to swing for the fences as a franchise. Until you find the franchise QB, it doesn't matter. Taking a swing at the homerun pick for a couple years still costs a helluva lot less than trading for an established franchise guy. It's obviously risky, but it's the play that we may need to make (as long as OL is addressed in FA). Doesn't mean Willis is who I want at 6, I still like an OT there if we don't trade down, but it's an exciting pick that a dying franchise might need to make. Does it make sense for Rhule? Nope. But that makes me like it even more.
  9. The only point I get excited for the future of this team is when Matt Rhule is fired and/or Tepper admits publicly he's sucked, he's staying out of things, etc. Those 2 have caused this downfall. Until there's massive changes with at least 1 of them, I really don't give a poo anymore.
  10. 8-9 here we come baby. Cousins is fine. On some days, he's good. A franchise QB though? Nope. Enough with the bullshit mediocrity that Tepper preached about ending. Even though it's a step up at this point, Cousins is probably what this staff considers a homerun and that's the scariest part.
  11. The coaching moves are a start, but frankly I don't give a damn until Rhule is stripped of roster control or gone in general. Tepper couldn't trust Rhule to build his own staff and possibly had to step in. But...he's still going to let him overstep his bounds on personnel and not let Fitt do his job? Make it make sense.
  12. Welp. Maybe we'll be back in the playoffs by 2030.
  13. Without a doubt could see Tepper wanting it. Show off the fancy new plans for new facilities, get a nod to the MLS team in there? I think he'll be all over it. Plus - - Rhule quotes and the media making fun of him every week? Sign. Me. Up.
  14. Payton gone. Brady might leave. If anyone didn't think that Tepper wouldn't go balls out for Watson, whew wait till you see what he does now that he sees a window opening. Risk and question marks be damned, you better believe Tepper has a raging Deshaun boner as the NFC South opens up again.
  15. Trading down, picking up a 2nd this year or 1st next year, and coming away with Tyler Linderbaum is our best case trade down IMO unless we want a rookie OT at 6. Sign a vet OT, sign a vet Guard, draft Linderbaum and our OL all of a sudden looks decent. Draft a MLB and depth on the lines with the rest of the picks and I'm good to go. Then let Darnold try to prove he's a top 28 QB next year en route to a high pick and drafting our QB of the future. Cap space, hit on a rookie QB so we have that contract as our ace in the hole, and go win.
  16. Good riddance. Welcome back to sucking, Saints. Their job might almost be worse than ours due to their lack of QB, cap situation, etc. Wouldn't surprise me if the Saints *finally* get right with the cap now and a lot of key guys are out of NO for the rebuild.
  17. Hard to build a team built on "culture" when the fuging leader is leaked to have interest in every college job possible. Matt Rhule can get fuged...just get out already.
  18. Trading for Jimmy G in a move to make us a 6 win team should get everyone in the building fired.
  19. Unless something drastic happens, Robby gets thrown out with Rhule IMO. Cut him and save 10+ million in 2023 with a new coaching staff coming in without ties to him. Think the contract was always structured so DJ can get paid following his 5th year option, while Robby can kick rocks and be replaced by Terrace/Shi. Trading DJ away gets us our best return outside of Burns, but still doesn't make sense long term unless we're blowing it up.
  20. Rhule just wanted somebody the locker room might hate even more.
  21. I don't even know if I can convince myself of the usual offseason homerism this year. 2022-23 will be all about Young v. Stroud on the Huddle.
