Hopefully we get like a black alternate Buzz City uniform.

It's all but certain that there will be a teal "Buzz City" alternate, unfortunately it will probably be sleeved. All signs point to a white home and purple away jersey. Interesting that the official logo color is purple but the uniform color is dark purple. The black and light blue are in all likelihood going to be for pinstripes only.

It's pretty obvious they're going with purple as the main color, whereas the original was mainly teal. Also interesting that they're likely going with Hornets on the uniform instead of Charlotte.

Then again, maybe the NBA is holding off releasing all the colors and wordmarks until the uniforms are unveiled.

The NBA screwed this whole thing up over a decade ago. The team should've never been allowed to move, but that's a whole different issue. They should've left the history in Charlotte from the beginning. Before the NBA ever approved the move they promised Charlotte that they would have a team again within two years. They could've done it right from the beginning if they had half a brain.

Here's what they should've done;

The NBA should've took ownership of the Charlotte Hornets from Shinn & created an expansion team in New Orleans. Then give Shinn the new franchise in New Orleans with a new brand & 2002 founded date. The only thing Shinn takes with him from Charlotte is 15 players. Then the NBA should've declared that the Charlotte Hornets were temporarily a league-owned franchise & would resume play in two seasons after new ownership had been selected & established. Then everything is clear & the history is actually true.

New Orleans Pelicans- 2002-present

Charlotte Hornets- 1988-02, 2004-present

    • I don’t think we would spend that kind of money on a LB that can’t play all 3 downs. It said he played 331 coverage snaps last year and only gave up one TD so him not being a coverage LB seems kinda like BS?
    • Moton should be back in 27 just due to the guarantees. I can't see us cutting him and eating that cap hit. Trade might be a bit different, but how many teams trade for 20m tackles?  I wouldn't be surprised to see us take 2 this year, 1 in the first and one in the 4th that has potential to play inside if they don't develop as quickly. Our line is awfully thin atm with the unknown injury Hunt got during the postseason. Even if Hunt's ok, we still lack depth. I could see is walking away from this draft with 2 tackles and a center, especially if we move down to pick up an extra 3rd or 4th.
    • He was so up and down for 4 seasons. They declined his 5 year option for a reason  Oloukon has been their LB1.  Evero loves to send pressure so my guess is if Lloyd is going to be used a 3 down back here he’ll be blitzing on 3rd down a lot. Would’ve liked to have signed someone a lot quicker if that’s the case. Lloyd isn’t very explosive. Used to be
