Competent ownership might not have meant a return of the hornets name. At least we have bob johnson to thank in some way. The terrible name combined with the awful management for most of the team's history at least partially paved the way for this change.

Add-

And they should've gave the team to Larry Bird, not Bob freaking Johnson.

Idk...

After watching the way people are acting with this whole situation I don't think it would matter. The Bobcats could've soon the championship last year and idiots would've showed up at the parade wearing Hornets crap and protesting a rebrand.

So random question, but with the new move, I'm seeing some conflicting merchandise.  Are the colors a more green teal, or a more blue teal?  Some Hornets flags, banners, etc have surfaced that show a more blue teal, while others (like the wincraft 3x5 Hornets banner I just bought) seem to be a more green type teal.  Example is below... thoughts?

Here's the color patone.

Looks like purple and teal

Irving- 21/6/4

Leonard- 13/2/6

Klay- 18/2/3

Kemba- 18/6/4

Pretty sad how much locals bash on Kemba. He is a very, very good young PG. He is the best player from his draft.

Yeah, Kyrie average a couple more points per game, but he also a turns the ball over more, misses half the games with injury, & routinely finishes with a horrible record. He is vastly overrated. The Andrew Luck of the NBA; anointed in college & the pros, yet he's never accomplished anything.

Just to stir the pot a little.... Saw about 70% of the newly designed pratice court today. They had the windows covered but you could see a good deal of the court with design patterns and the logo. Have no idea if this will transfer to the main court. They hadn't really even begun the main court. The only difference was the logo at center court was gone. Then again guess everyone already knew that since they are holding tryouts on the main court since the practice court is still wet.

Someone posted a picture of the practice court on that big logo site. It got deleted fairly fast. It had the secondary logo at half court and looked horrible. Not sure if it's what they actually went with or was just one of several designs they were trying.

    • Well, they're both in the same league (if you will). During preseason, Fitz went 3/3 & Sauls went 5/6, but of course Sauls was 4/4 last night (including one 50+). Both were Lou Groza Award finalists. I believe Fitz made two 55+ yarders last season, while Sauls led the nation with three. Fitz was 13/13 (💯) while Sauls was 21/24 (87.5). Fitz was a 3rd-Team AP All-American, while Sauls was a PFF All-American.  Career-wise, Fitz was 58/74 (78.4), while Sauls was 52/64 (81.3). I wish that I could see the attempts and knew the depth of yardage. I wish that we could compare practice kicks during their training camps, but we can't. Maybe someone with a PFF/CFF account can give that Basically it's just a matter of belief I guess. Seeing dude knock down four FGs and go perfect during a pressure-filled game for him is damned impressive if you ask me. I don't believe that Fitzgerald could do that.  That being said, I'd have to know more. I will say that it may be worth mentioning that we seem to like PFF this year and Sauls being a PFF All-American may be notable. Now that being said, the Panthers may not be even considering Sauls.
    • Ive said it 1000x times on here.  Our 2025 season will be dictated by the first 4 games.  poo the bed there and lose all confidence and momentum, we win 5 games maybe.  Go 2-2, 3-1 we got a look at 7/8 wins
    • I basically made almost the exact predictions on a phone call with a buddy about 3 weeks ago. I really do expect Evero gone before the seasons end, Young to just not able to get over the hump enough and DC to head into next season on a VERY hot seat.
