Amazing draft

We got some good players in this draft.  The only real question mark as far as quality player, is Tyler Gaffney.  I don't see him doing anything at all.  Yet overall, we got quality players.  That Trai Turner pick surprised me.  It showed me this Panther staff wants to move the ball on the ground a little bit.  We just failed to get good OTs in this draft.  Bah, I'll give this draft a B-.

We can still get veteran OTs later on.  Roos might be cut, and perhaps we can pick up talent on other team's roster cuts at the end of the pre-season.

KB 900 yards 10 TDs, he goes off week one at the Bucs like Cam did his first week. Wins AP OROY

Kony Ealy 9 sacks, tears it up in the rotation, in consideration for DROY but ultimately loses out because of an overhyped guy.

Trai Turner Automatic starter at RG, plows holes for our new 1k yard rusher.

Tre Boston ends the season with the huddle hanging from his nutz because they'll realize he's our Mike Mitchell, will have a few picks and plenty of big hits and trash talk.

Bene takes over the slot and has some dazzling picks- 3 picks.

Gaffney comes in and has a miraculous training camp, proceeds to get looks early in the season and slowly takes over our run game, compiling a 1k season, everyone on huddle is slobbering uncontrollably.

TB puts up a good fight but the defense dismembers McCown and then destroys Glennon, nothing Evans or ASJ can do.
ATL Melvin White keeps JJ in check, Matt Ryan gets demolished, Ealy wrecks Matthews
NO splits with us again and wraps up their season feeling amazed that they had 'so much more talent' but still couldn't beat us both times, the same as last year.
CAR starts hot and basically doesn't stop rolling to a 14-2 season, playoffs, NFC Championship game at least. Everyone is amazed that our two UDFA tackles play solid football and Gettleman rides off into the sunset.

Offseason - Cam signs a team friendly deal says he wants the best team around him, more expensive vets get off the roster, we continue to build the dynasty into the next decade.

Well you are right but what you are missing is GMAN is not looking at competing for a Superbowl next year......this draft is for for fixing our cap so we can be in a position to be great in the future.

Why would we cut Smitty and why would we draft a project at WR.....and a DE in the 2nd if we were in a win now mode?

Lol "win now" mode?  Wtf is that? Every year for every team, coach, player, gm and owner is win now mode.  If you are referring to stacking our roster with high profile players to try to win the superbowl the very next year... well I've yet to see that ever work.

1. High profile players don't always work out.

2. You have to mortgage your future to do this, heavily shortening this "window".

3. Generally you have to sacrifice depth.  When players get injured - ur screwed.

4. Football is an incredibly volatile sport.  Luck, poor officiating and a silly mistake (like slipping) can cost you a game. Even if your team is the madden all stars these factors can hit you in the playoffs - there goes your 1 year window.

The goal is to maintain a playoff caliber team as long as you can.  The more often you make the playoffs, the better shot you have at winning a superbowl.  Very rare to see the "best" teams in the superbowl, especially recently (last year being an exception).
