NFL Top 100 Players - NFL Network

Recommended Posts

I don't think that posters realizes, Seattle schemes around Wilson's deficiencies (in the pocket), and he needed that run game and defense to spoon feed him into the NFL.

The Seahawks, always ran the ball more than they threw it, relying less on Wilson. Newton started off throwing the ball more than Carolina ran it, cause he was more ready. Last year they may have ran it more. But you're going to see some changes, I think this year. We'll see.

It'll be curious to see how Wilson does, with out Golden Tate saving his bacon? Wonder if Percy Harvin will be that guy now?

How dare you post with a well thought out and logical answer!

Same impact no, better season yes.

that's debatable is the whole point.

Some would say Cam had a better season because of his higher impact on his respective team.

but i'm not a quality control coach at liberty university so i don't know what the fug i'm talking about :)

Neither am I... new staff came in (it happens).

As for the post itself, Newton had a bigger impact and career wise he is the better player. However last year Wilson was better. Statistically he was better and won a Super Bowl.

What's a quality control coach?

I wasn't the coach, I helped out the QC coach

I input statistics (like hash, down, distance, run/pass, intended receiver, formation, backfield set, etc.) into this awesome program called X's and O's so the players can go back and watch film on the previous game and our upcoming opponent.

I edited my post, read the entire thing.

it still doesn't change how i feel

i look at impact plays, game-changing plays and game winning plays. RW has them for sure....I gauge who had the biggest overall impact on their teams to have the better season.

RW didn't single handedly get the seahawks into the playoffs or the superbowl.

Cam singlehandedly won us 4 games, the division title, and a playoff birth with game changing, game winning plays.

How do you coach quality control? Either it's within tolerance or it isn't.

Although Jim Harbaugh would be great at that.

Lol it's not what it sounds like.

It's all about x's and o's and breaking down data on your own team and your opponent. It's a significant part of game-planning.

Which four games?

And by that criteria Newton is better than Manning. Manning rarely has huge plays that impact the game, he's just a great quarterback.

Yeah, but Manning doesn't have his running backs [rushing], and his defense scoring and deciding games for him on the regular.

That's the big difference.
