Meh. If it's because you want to lower your bills then go for it. If you're gonna go all Thoreauvian life on us because of annoying people on the bus then that's not a good reason imo.

I don't think it's the phone, it's facebook.  Take facebook off your phone, cut your facebook friends to 2 digits, only go on it a couple times a week(if at all), and never post on it.  Remember when you could meet up with a friend and they'd tell you about what's going on?   That doesn't work when you have a news feed of their life.

i was browsing for some "dumb" phones today. I'm leaning more towards it.

 

i refuse to be a robotic follower in life. i just don't have it in my DNA.

 

A while back, we were at Toys R Us and it seemed like everything was on sale. I picked up one of these for like $4. It cost me $20 to put 240 minutes on it, and then I plan on spending another 20 every six months to keep it activated. At worst it'll be a backup phone. Four bucks for a phone, house and car charger, case, and sucky earpiece. 10 years ago that would have been the deal of the century.
