Yeah I'm aware, you'd have to do some maneuvering around D-Will's contract (cut) and probably Graham's (doing a restructure) in order to be able to afford him this year.

 

However in the following years one of C.J. or Hardy won't be here so you are just replacing their contract with Johnson's.

That deal needs to be re-worked but everything indicates that C.J. is a money first type of guy.

I would love to add another talented WR, but the guy is turning 33, and it's just too much money to invest given his age.

Was hoping they'd move him before the draft.

Not sure we qualify as a team in his eyes, but sure would love him for 2 .5 a year plus decent signing bonus.

We wouldn't have to pay the restructure, option, or signing bonuses. So that's 4.5m less the first two years and 2.5m less the last.
