Hayward, Monroe, Love All Options Hornets Look To Explore

Recommended Posts

They’ll explore how to add another game-changer to center Al Jefferson. So I take it for granted they’ll check what it might take to acquire power forward Kevin Love, who seemingly wants out of Minneapolis. Likewise, I’d expect them to inquire about restricted free agents Greg Monroe with Detroit and Gordon Hayward with Utah via sign-and-trades. It's gonna be a fun offseason

What would a max deal be for Hayward per year? I'm not sold on the fact that he's worth a max deal, but I would totally want to bring him in.

I think it's a 5yr/80mil contract.

Gordon was seeking a 4yr/50mil which the JAZZ declined.

I think that Gordon is worth a max contract, but he would be getting paid much higher than Big Al.

I think it would take a 4-55/60 m deal to get him out of Utah without a sign and trade...I don't think Utah would match that type of offer for him....

For what it's worth, Utah fans think of him as an average player worth no more then 9-10 million a season max.

Agree.

Jazz do have two 1st rounders so they won't feel like they have to keep Gordon.

However, the Kings have already put the no8 pick on the block. They may try to send that pick for a guy like Hayward.

Hayward no. Can't create his own shot

Hayward is above average with the ball in his hands & has shown the ability to get shots off with guys on him

His shooting percentage is what concerns me more than anything

    • we probably aren't interested (I would be).  But with the massive improvements on our DL via FA and the draft, the DBs will have an easier job this year
    • Why is it so hard for some people to understand its not about similar styles and one team is better at it than the other. Its about 1 team, us, that isnt even playing their own style and look demoralized from the moment the puck drops and then playing like dogshit. That is all on Rod.
    • Respectfully man if your entire argument is based off of a simple pff score lookup then your argument is severely flawed. There is a reason Mike Jackson signed a two year 10 million dollar deal and Jaycee is one of the highest paid corners in the league. Secondly, I don’t get the comparison to our huge need at pass rush last year. What does our massive and historic lack of talent at rushing the passer have to do with a weakness on this years roster?
