2014 Summer Transfer Window: Rumors, Completed Deals, Pipedreams!

Casemiro officially a Porto player. One year loan with a buy option of 6.5 million Euros. Real Madrid can buy him back anytime between next Summer and 2017 for 12 million Euros if Porto exercise their buy option. Not a bad deal for either side.

Welcome to my world....

Sky News:

16:33

Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino does not expect to make many signings before the transfer window closes. Spurs are the only Premier League club yet to sign a player this summer having spent around £100million on seven players last year in a bid to offset the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.

Quote from Spurs manager:

We have a very good and big squad. Last summer the club made a big effort during the window and I believe in these players. We are always looking to improve but we don't expect big change.

Wasn't hoping for a big change... but there are some spots that need shoring up, including LB, ST, CB, and LW - in that order. I was also hoping to offload some players where we're too deep, such as CAM and DM to free up spots and cash, and to help with the locker room mood.

I still think we make the push for Davies at the very least, and hope we can make a strong run at Lukaku, but won't hold my breath for it.

According to the source that called James and Kroos coming to Madrid, "intense negotiations" have started between Real and Juve for both VIdal and Pogba.

Holy fugging trees with boners!!!!

Yep seeing the same.

El Mundo reporting that James deal is done and will cost 80m Euros. Steep price, but I'm of the belief that he'll be worth it. Price will be lessened with the sale of Di Maria, which could be as much as 65m Euros. It will be interesting to see if the Pogba stuff has any legs, but they definitely can afford it after basically spending only 15-25m Euros on James today. Still need to grab a backup 9 I would think, but you can get a serviceable player there without breaking the bank. My gut says Pogba stays at Juventus one more year, and RM, Chelsea, United all battle it out for him next Summer.

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
