Kaepernick gets mega-deal

I honestly don't think so. Cam was going to get paid ridiculous money regardless of what Kaep, Wilson, Luck, Bob Knee all sign for.

If our GM can keep rolling cap money over we should be fine. Plus you gotta remember we have like $18MM or so in dead money and awful contracts that will soon be off the books.

And we have a winner!  I think our dead money is even higher than that.  Basically when it is time to extend aceboogie we'll have that cleared up, we'll be able to figure out the RB situation and the cap will make a decent jump.

Cam and Keek will be taken care of and we might even have a sizeable chunk of spending money.

Yes! How the hell do you have Brees and Graham and still manage to afford Byrd after only giving up Sproles?!

When Brees retires they are screwed with or without those guys, so they might as well go all in and start from scratch on that marvelous day.

Sorry but Steve Young doesn't know as much about Kap as his own coach. He never even said he's a "one read only qb" he said he needs to get further in his progression more often, and he does. I dont think the guys flawless but to think an nfl qb that only threw 8 ints all season (4 against the best secondary, possibly best secondary ever) can only make one read is ignorant.

A quote from Young:

In searching for reasons why the 49ers have averaged 173.5 yards in their past two games, Young didn’t rule out Kaepernick’s lack of sophistication at the position as a potential issue.

“Is it just offensive coordinator’s play calling?” Young said Wednesday on his weekly appearance on KNBR. “We don’t have any threats on the perimeter? Is that the issue? Is that the real issue? Or is it now, fundamentally, Trent Dilfer was onto something last week saying about, ‘No, it’s Colin.’

“And, really, Colin comes off of fakes and they’ve got some neat little things … and people are wide open on the first look. And now they’re not open. Now the second look is not something that he’s really great at. Is that, fundamentally, the issue? You wonder which one’s really causing the problem. Because (there) is a problem right now.”

That was from when it was the popular thing to say around espn. He wasnt saying that yesterday.

Uh your boy kap said TODAY that he needs to work on his progressions after his first read.

Nobody is just making this up out of nowhere. Tons of commentators, media, analysts, fans, former players have talked about it......

And now kaepernick himself. Stop being buttthurt because Cam has shown full progressions game in and game out and kaepernick 85% of the time goes first read then runs. Cam went through growing pains learning this stuff. You guys just paid kaepernick elite money. It's time for him to put in the work and not just live off his athleticism because that won't last forever and the investment y'all just made could be in jeopardy if he's not careful

Wow.... potential $126M contract for a year and a half worth of work on a team that is so stacked, that even Alex smith took them to the NFCCG the year before (Before he went down and Kaep took over)

Whiners are stupid, this dude is average and they will not win it all next year, lol.

Lmao. I already said in another post that he needs to work on getting further in his progression more consistently. What i'm arguing is that he CAN'T do it. Because he can and i've seen it numerous times.

Lulz, Niner fans are so delusional. You guys may not even make it out of your own division this season with St. Louis getting stronger and Seattle still being Seattle.

Kaepernick's decision-making, mechanics, reads, etc are gonna have to make a leap this off-season because there's no excuse for his inconsistencies. Your OL is elite, you possess an athletic freak at TE, dependable RBs, and a strong WR duo in Boldin and Crabtree. Stop your excuses and bitching.

Your o line myths been debunked my friend. Read the thread. And i also included the stats from when crabtree came back. Sce you insist he was there the whole season, im going to insist Kaps season started when Crabtree came back. Heres his stats.

61.7%

232 pass ypg

7/1 td/int ratio

101.4 qb rating
