About to go to the last home game for the arena football team I intern for with game film...games on ESPN2 if you want somewhat of a football fix

 

I watched the game. One of my buddies that I played flag football with in Raleigh plays for Spokane (I assume that is who you intern with). He is #42 - plays OL/FB. The game was actually pretty entertaining; the QB for the other team was getting popped on almost every play.

 

Duke Robinson used to play there after we canned him. I guess they got rid of him too.

Right on! He was featured in the game program last night! And yeah Duke was here for the first 7 weeks, but he was always on the bike at practice, which isn't shocking. He has been traded at least 3 times since then. Some things never change I guess.

It's unreal. I remember myself and many others on here calling him stone face mute man cause every time the tv would show him he had no emotion. Can't judge to quickly I guess.

 

You and me both. I used to joke that getting a cardboard cutout of Ron and placing it on the sideline would have been the equivalent to the real Ron.

      The pro bowl should be brought back, it should be in Honolulu with proper marketing and eyes on it, it should be the nfl subsidizing a week long vacation for guys with their families-with that the one big change to make is to get rid of the fan voting. Have each send a collection of five or six guys they deemed their best and if the rosters get a little wonky personnel-wise, that’s okay. That’s part of the fun. short of that, the only other thing I could recommend is having a similar set-up-no fan voting, teams selecting their best players, and sending them to compete against the chosen players from 31 other teams in real Olympic level sporting completions to see who comes out on top.   seeing the panthers delegates beat the disgusting saints delegates up for the Gold in the rowing competition or the 4x100 relay would actually feed into the competitive nature of fans and give them something to root for. you could even have under armour sell the logo cladded up team gear that the pros wear in these games for money, this stuff basically writes itself if the nfl wasn’t trying to use this event help sell the idea that no defense and lots of passing is a GOOD THING and you LOVE THIS and THE GAMES SHOULD BE MORE LIKE THIS.
