MLS v. EPL teams

Currently watching the KC v. Man City game and caught some of the Toronto v Tottanham game. MLS teams seem to be holding their own fairly well. Granted, some of these teams aren't playing with their starters

Any thoughts on these games so far? I'm looking forward to seeing the MLS All Stars v Bayern

The only thing I didn't like about the KC game is that they subbed out their entire starting 11 at the half while Man City kept theirs in. Basically waved the white flag

Toronto actually seemed like they were trying to win their game

First half of the game, Spurs were locking down Toronto and had a 2-0 lead. Honestly, it was kind of boring to watch. The second half had Toronto subbing in 8 and all 11 for the Spurs, and the game opened up a lot more after that. Made for a good game overall, and a nice show from both sides.

Still glad we won, but that's not the point of it for either side. It's a chance to give the younger guys a chance to compete on a world stage and fight for spots in the starting 11 without it being a game with any repercussions. So far, I'm enjoying this off-season tour - The Seattle game was awesome.

    • well, players dictating things only works if you have the right collection of players to dictate things.  and in all honesty, not sure if we can answer if we do or don't as fans given......there are no Thomas Davis types around that we know are actually about X and Y (based on years showing it).  Collective team is too new to us to know what these dudes are really about in terms of players carrying the burden of culture.
    • Moore can be put in one of the vet spots on IR. No one will be checking for him at the start of the season. But I would be very perturbed if we tried to go all Gettlemagic and stash an obvious talent like Horn on practice squad like we did Butker. If we can get through this year, next year it will be obvious Moore and AT will be gone, starting namely with AT's contract.
    • Culture change comes from the top down, not from drafting a 3 and no D guard. I doubt Lamelo is gonna take his cues from this 20yr old kid lol. If Brandon Miller couldn’t change the culture with how good he is and how much he hustles on both ends, Kon Knueppel sure as hell ain’t changing it. Ace Bailey by all accounts is also a great teammate and hard worker, btw, who was drafted by a team he supposedly didn’t want to go to yet he immediately bought in. And he’s got actual length and tools on both ends of the floor. I feel this pick is going to age like milk rather quickly.
