Wilmington Panther Bars?

Recommended Posts

Have just gotten back after 1 1/2 years of being in Hilton Head South Carolina, and will need a place to watch the games with some fellow die harders.

Can't fire up the Weber every Sunday, sometimes I want some one else to cook and pour the beers for me.

Klong....Kurb...PnthrPryd...whatcha think.

Oh yea, and anyone else who lives in the ILM.

Firebellys has great lunch specials, just left there.

As far as "panthers" bars go. there isn't any. Too many damn Yankees.

I never go into the other section, I started yesterday, after I was yelled at...

There has to be a cooler place than WWC to watch foosball....just sayin

WWC blows donkey dick, one of the worst fuging bars in town. Went there 2 years ago for MNF double header.. we watched first game (mind you the 10 of us went there to watch both, and spent food/beer money accordingly) only for them to pull up the screen after the first game to have some fine young male DJ on. they can all burn in hell.

lol, just saying man, after many years of trying there isnt poo worth the time/money in wilmington to watch a game at. Thats why me, my roomates, and friends caved, kicked cash towards towards the DirectTV package, and watch it at my buds house on a 64" TV, where we can grill and drink at a reasonable price.

i like going out, and it's gonna be hard to get me out of downtown. i live in leland so its the closest spot for meeting friends. plus theres the fact that a friend will tend bar at Tavern on 2nd during the game, and the other fact that the wife is best friends with Hell's Kitchens owners daughter. I get at least a little hooked up at both spots.

nc biscuit can tell you where all the bewbie bars are :D. Some have TVs I hear.

I'm from the ILM but moved away for college and only spend time there during the holidays. Back when I used to roll in the Port City, Capone's and Red St. were the bars to hit downtown at night. LOL

    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
