Other Team's Cuts

What's the full story on Tori Gurley. I remember us having a bunch of guys who wanted us to draft him a while back. What's his deal?

He's 6'4, 230 and runs a 4.56 in the forty.  Measurables like that will definitely get a guy looked at...a lot.

About that production though...

He's been in the League since 2011 and has one (yes, one) reception to his credit.  It happened last year with the Browns and netted 15 yards.

While in Cleveland, he appeared in a total of three games, the only three games for which he's been active his entire career.

This preseason, he had 3 catches for 43 yards.  By contrast, Brenton Bersin has 5 for 90.

Bottom Line: For whatever reason, his performance just hasn't lived up to the measurables.

So, Max Starks.....   He is 32, 6'8" 340 pound   Started in 16 games for the Steelers in 2012.  Then spent most of 2013 out of the league.

Spent only 3 weeks with the Cardinals before they released him.  I say pass.

heard the guys on sirius 88 say........ he couldn't complete the wind sprints they were running.

Giants finally get in on the action...

CB Charles James, CB Ross Weaver, S C.J. Barnett, S Kyle Sebetic, LB Spencer Adkins, WR Travis Harvey, TE Xavier Grimble, TE Jerome Cunningham, G John Sullen, DT Everett Dawkins, K Brandon McManus

I know we are currently loaded at TE but wasn't Xavier Grimble supposed to be a sleeper UDFA?

I'm somewhat hoping Bills cut TJ Graham.. he would solve that need for a burner WR

I am one of those Bills fans saying he won't be released. He will be claimed by many teams if he is cut. He has too much potential. But there are more then a few decent depth WR's in Buffalo. Watch for Marcus Easley. If he ismcut he is your guy. Amazing on special teams and never really tried at WR.

T.J. Graham dropping passes has been a "recurring theme" during training camp.

According to ESPN Bills reporter Mike Rodak, "time may be running out" for Graham. The third-year receiver is competing for No. 5 duties and doesn't contribute on special teams. Graham is a long shot to make the 53-man roster. Another team will likely give him a chance thanks to his blazing 4.34 wheels. Jul 28 - 7:34 PM

He didn't have any catches today so him getting cut is realistic. But I can't imagine DG bringing him in especially since he doesn't have any special teams value. But I do agree that we need a speedster type WR.

roddick sucks.

Seriously, if you find a Bills fan who listens to him or reads his info you know they're about as smart as a UNC fan and just some hanger on'er of what once was.

The guy is a Pats fan, covered the beat for ESPN Boston until demoted to cover the Bills. That's not a good demotion. At all. In fact, most of his stories come from John Wawrow, the AP sports guy for WNY and avid Bills fan.

Graham is not great but he was open more than half the time last year. Our QB just blows and never took more then 2 reads and checked down like a mofo.

he was like David Clowney. He never got on after coming to Buffalo and was just fodder on a crappy passing team. Nothing more left to see if Buffalo can't get it from ya. We are deep at WR but suck at passing

    • I hope not. 3rd-5th round QB's are historically awful. Most of the time that team is just drafting another QB in the first the following year. Look at the Saints, if they continue to suck this year they are just taking a QB. And if they do they just threw away a 2nd round pick that they just drafted. We did the same poo with Clausen, Greer, Pike, that guy we drafted a few years ago who is so irrelevant I forgot his name...  Just take a 1st round QB if Bryce isn't the answer and be prepared to live with it
    • This reminds me on Madden where you create an alternate uniform and the pre-recorded voice overs talk about how hideous your uniform looks. 🤣
    • There are people on this forum that just want to see a lot of passing yards....number go up. That's all it is, really. They are thirsting for a 350-400 yard game. The idea that Jameis Winston is going to come in and play like a star and lead us to wins is ludacris. He's the 3rd fuging string for a 2-5 team and has played horrible for years now. Sure, passing numbers will go up but you'll also get a lot of dumb plays, pick 6's, and incompletions en route to a frustrating bad offensive performance, just in a different way. I think these people are yearning for another Delhomme situation, and the odds of that happening are very very slim. It's way more likely Howell or Jameis comes in and looks like Jack Plummer or Andy Dalton did in the preseason. There just isn't that much good quarterbacking in this league right now. And if we draft another QB in the first round, there is a good chance they bust. It's not a guaranteed carrot. The reality is, as mediocre as Bryce has been, the risk of bringing someone else in in-season and releasing Bryce becuase you aren't happy with his current performance is staggeringly high. Don't want to re-up his contract and search for a solution in the offseason? Sure, I'm on board. Bryce hasn't been good enough to warrant a second contract. But It is very. very unlikely that bringing someone else in midseason is going to give this team more wins.
