I think Cam throws the football harder in crucial situations (3rd downs and red zone) than most every other QB in the league, so it was a really smart move by our GM to bring in sure handed receivers like Avant and Cotchery over flashier names. I'm still a Steve Smith fan, but it seemed like he dropped a higher percentage of passes from Cam than he did from Jake. You have to have sticky hands to play WR on this team.

Avant and Cotchery aren't going to be YAC guys, but they are going to get to the right spots on the field, and they're going to catch the ball.  In a run first/play action offense like we run(or try to run), that will work perfectly.

So far, Cam and DA are a combined 46/68, 67.6 completion %, with 3 TDs and no INTs. Amazing they could accomplish this with new WRs, right?

Nice game "JaVante", Cam's nickname for him.....idk but he seems to be more muscular now than when in Philly to me.

I think Cam and this sorry bunch of receivers will be just fine on most game days.

Yeah, solid numbers from both vets. The few who wanted to cut either one, look silly at this point. Both are reliable pass catchers and chain movers.
