Technically he was convicted. He just gets a re-do.

No the way the law reads is that he isn't convicted until found guilty by a jury trial. You can pull up his record and you won't find a conviction on there. The judges ruling means absolute poo the second hardy appeals for his jury trial. It is not FACT as panther love is trying to claim.

Yes his conviction is now wiped by trial de novo. But he was at some point convicted.

Was convicted now currently not. People saying he was convicted by a judge are intentionally misleading.

It isn't misleading at all.  Maybe people don't understand how NC law works.  That much is apparent.  However, it seems people here want to believe it never happened.  Just because the guilty verdict is removed until the jury trial, the fact is, he was found guilty.

It is. Because people say that like being guilty by a bench trial and being found guilty by a jury are the same thing. They aren't. Him being guilty at a bench trial his basically him being indicted by a grand jury. It just means there is enough evidence for his real trial.

Everyone should be operating on the fact as it currently stands. Greg hardy is innocent. If you are saying anything it means you have an agenda

The use of the word "convicted" in this case is a much better use of the negative connotation of the term semantics than the argument of whether PK was referring to non-existent court transcripts or to various twitter feeds as "testimony".

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
