pulling for KC, then SF (mainly because of Bumgarner)

Would be a great series

SF is gonna roll KC, IMO.

KC is a great story & all but they've overachieved & have no experience in this situation. They've also gotten literally every bounce their way, luck always runs out somewhere. SF is going for their 3rd WS title in 5 years, that's a dynasty. They have the experience & will be ready to go. SF also has the best player remaining in the playoffs; Bumgarner. Dude has been very good in the regular season over his career but he's lights out in the playoffs. Combine his dominance this postseason with his World Series performances in '10 & '12, I don't see KC beating him. That means the have to win 4 of the other 5.

If KC knocks off SF it'd be like the Dbacks upsetting NYY. Underdog knocking off the dynasty & huge favorite. Could it happen, yeah. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Not to mention Yost vs Bochy. Arguably the worst manager vs the best manager in baseball.

I disagree. Everybody was saying the Angels was going to roll us because they were the best team in the AL. Didn't work out that way. Then it was Baltimore that was going to roll us because of their power on their line-up. No dice.

Anyone can use the argument that they have no experience in the situation, but really, it didn't show at all during the ALDS and the ALCS. It might had actually accelerated the Royals experience when they were playing against Oakland, and, I have no idea how to explain it, but something clicked when they went on a improbable comeback against Oakland.

Sight unseen (I have not looked up their team stats yet), if someone wants to tell me that the Giants have the edge in starting pitching and offense, I'd probably agree that its likely.

But, you have got to give the bullpen, speed, and the defense to the Royals before the analysis even begins. That was very much evident during the ALDS and the ALCS.

Not to mention, KC went 15-5 against the NL during the interleague play.

Either way, let the best team win.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
