How many draft picks is Cam worth?

Of course Cam will get his money and be built around. You think Dave enjoys watching this offensive line? If I have to say it once I have to say it a thousand times on this board: he is working with what he is given, and that was an absolutely terrible situation made worse by the fact that everything clicked in a rebuilding year. He knows what it takes to win, he just doesn't have the space to build his team. J.R. threw money around like nobody's business during the Hurney years. There is literally no reason for him to not pay his quarterback.

Cam is injured for the first time in his career. He didn't turn into Matt Schaub overnight. The team had two bad weeks. It happens.

the O-line is fine.

Washington gave up 3 1sts, 2 2nds, and 2 3rds for RG3... Cam is probably worth somewhere near there, or maybe more.

Man nobody's giving that up, if other teams start getting a feel that we won't pay Cam what he wants they'll just wait till free agency and pick him up. Panther fans have to realize that either we pay him the deal he wants or let him walk and be bad trying to find the next possible franchise qb in the draft.

This is my concern with Cam.

“We know he’s a running quarterback,” said Seattle safety Earl Thomas after the Seahawks shut down Newton and the Panthers 13-9 Sunday at Bank of America Stadium. “You understand what you’re going against. They have a gadget offense; there’s a lot of window dressing, play-action passes. You’ve got to be on your toes against him.”

It's one thing for fans to say it, but for arguably the best safety in the league to say it is another matter entirely.  Maybe the leader of that vaunted Seahawks defense, a team who beat us three times in our house, said Cam is pretty much a running QB.  We all know he can throw, but they prepared for Cam to run.  His throwing doesn't concern them as much as his running.  You can't win superbowls with your QB's best asset being in the running game.

If that meant we get Winston in that trade, go for it. Winston is just a mean dude on the field.

Winston has bust written all over him.  For some reason, the best QB's are the one's that go unnoticed.  I like the guy from Washington State.  Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing us grab Connor Shaw from Cleveland.  He's a white Russell Wilson.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
