Football Gameplan's 2015 NFL Midseason Mock Draft Video

I think it was against Washington where Ty got wrapped up at the 5 but he just kept moving his legs and pushed the corner all the way back into the endzone. He's strong and explosive and most importantly a playmaker. He was on my short list earlier this year but I feel like he's taken a step backwards as a WR prospect this season, but the QB play definitely factors in some.

I'd be happy with the pick, need all the weapons we can get for Cam.

Always enjoy your stuff, thanks for posting.

Thanks Gang! Who would be your ideal pick this year?

As of now, I'm flip flopping between Montgomery and Kevin White, who you happened to have going back to back I believe.

I think Ty would add a lot to the Panthers current offense where he can be moved all around.  Especially when we motion a WR behind Cam in the Pistol.  His ability as a strong runner could definitely open up more things with the option and it'd give us another big bodied receiver on the filed.  Plus his ability as a returner would be a welcome sight for us.

With White, I do love his fluidity and smoothness in the open field, looks like he's just gliding out there and can easily get open on routes and out of breaks.  Not only that, but he's a strong receiver at the catch.

Personally, I don't think we could go wrong with either of them.

Hard to say right now...

We could end up with a top 10 pick so if that happens one of the top tackles is a must. Our "OL" is a disaster.

If we can't grab a top tackle then we need a playmaker. Ty Montgomery, Melvin Gordon, DGB (if he declares), and Kevin White all would do for me.

I love Landon Collins but this franchise needs to help Cam out. This pick needs to be on the offensive side of the ball.

if one of the top OTs is on the board, you have to take him. if a stud DB, CB or S prospect is there, you have to take him. this team does still need playmakers on the outside, especially one with deep speed. those guys could be found in the 2nd-mid rounds tho. guys like Sterling Shepard, Phillip Dorsett, Stefon Diggs, DGB, Rashad Greene, Dres Andersom, Sammie Coats and Antwan Goodley could be had in the 2nd round or later.

Man, can you imagine the Colts getting either Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon?  Colts fans are spoiled.  They've wined and dined at the high end of the NFL table for years with Manning, have one bad season, and Andrew Luck falls into their laps. (Of course if Luck wasn't there, they could have just kept Manning)  So they will have another decade or more of high end success, while other teams struggle for years.

Thanks Gang! Who would be your ideal pick this year?

If we're drafting on the back end of the first round, I'm looking at a burner for Cam in the wideout spot.  I really like Sammie Coates.  Of course if a top end talent falls, I would draft them.  Another guy I would draft at the back end of the first is Ereck Flowers.

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
