The Steelers have the blueprint on how to utilize Cam

What are you referring to when you say you are more worried about his inconsistency than his accuracy? Just curious because when I think of any QB's inconsistency it is usually referring to his accuracy.

He will have some games that he plays like a top 5 QB and then other games he is not even in the top 20. Just bad play all around not just accuracy. Most people saying he is not accurate see him throw high, what they don't see is his footwork. Look at his pocket this year and you see why his footwork is sub par. Footwork can be fixed but having up and down games can't IMO. Farve struggled with them as well and he will be a HOF QB.

As I said in another thread, our OL was solid when Cam came in and he had that problem even then.

Maybe you are too young to remember that.

Aaron Rodgers, Payton, etc all had issues with their games as rookies too. All do.

Every time you insert another backup Cam has more issues each week. Pretty clear pattern IMO.

Yes rookies all had that issue even if he's Aaron Rodgers.

Sad thing is, Cam still throws so many high passes and he's not a rookie anymore.

He never improved on that and I doubt the staff think he could, so they have to draft KB to make up.

also, there has been a clear progression to Cam's mechanics and accuracy.

2011 - flaws obvious

2012- improvement

2013- more improvement

2014- even more improvement.....THEN morph OL into a 4th Q preseason OL the last couple games and the QB has some issues.

That ain't a Cam issue.

if you haven't noticed his progression and improvement year to year, you are simply choosing to ignore it.

also, if you can't see the impact a 4th quarter caliber preseason game OL the past few weeks impacts a QB....that is just you choosing to blame Cam.

I didn't say the OL didn't impact Cam, he was affected obviously. What I'm saying is Cam throws high passes regardless of a good protection or not. Sometimes he can throw the ball 10 feet high over his receivers while the Defensive linemen are 100 yards away from him.

And I noticed his progression but that's not too much tbh.

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
