...except that the NFL had no policy at the time regarding domestic violence...especially one that would have someone stay at home and get paid while not having to play...but I'm gonna go with what you said.

He saw an opening and he took it, can't blame him! This could have been over months ago, but nnnnooooo, it was drug to one week after the Super Bowl and conviently before FA

Entertaining this for a moment. There is no way that Hardy (or Peterson, in a different situation) would know that he would be essentially suspended WITH pay. I don't know that I had ever heard of anything like this before Hardy and AP, but that said I haven't read the entire CBA.

The court system planned the court date, not him.  I don't blame him 1 iota for sitting at home in his boxers and watching scooby doo, That said, for her to go along with it then, means she helped fabricate a situation over the summer when no one knew that this kind of positive outcome (for him) was an option.  In fact, his possible outcome could have been a 3 game suspension plus adding a red flag to his market value which is still there.  If this was his "plan", then he is a complete idiot.  No way did he make this up so he could get out of playing football this year.

Before this season, NOONE know what the Commission's Exempt list, NOONE.

Suspensions through on going legal proceeding have, plus he played for the Panthers! I'm not saying he meant for it to turn out this perfect, but just go back and look at the timeline of events. Then factor in the possibility of players knowing about the Rice incident in April, like had been reported

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
