Thinking about buying a new T.V.

There is actually a ratio to use when determining the best viewing.... 3:1.  For every foot away from the TV your seating is add 3 inches to your TV size.  20 feet away from the TV = 60 inch TV.  

 

I however do not ascribe to this idiocy and I try to put the biggest fugging thing I can afford and fit on my wall.  Eyesight and distortion be damned.

Samsung and LG's are the absolute best TV's for the money.

My home is a Samsung home. Never had any problems with them. Ever.

I love the 51 plasma in my living room. Have a 40 inch LED in the bedroom.

Just to update: We bought a 59" Tashiba from HHGregg at Christmas and loving it.

At night, when it is dark, its like we have our own personal movie theater.

I think the only minor issue is that there is some noise in darker areas of the screen but it is all good.
