[VIDEO] Jordan's Emotional Speech

MJ wants to win a championship as an owner. He can't help himself, it's his borderline psychopathic obsession with winning and competitiveness. He wants to win and give a big middle finger to everyone who criticizes and doubts him- that stuff fuels him. I mean really, really fuels him. The media is constantly mocking and laughing at MJ's failures in DC. IMO, if they weren't so annoying and persistent with that garbage MJ would've rode off into the sunset. He'd probably be living on a golf resort in Florida with his wife. I don't think he would've ever gotten involved in NBA management. But their criticism has lit a fire inside him. They've poked at the most competitive person living on this planet. And he's determined to get the last laugh.

But all this should've been known by everyone already. MJ already has a billion dollar brand. He didn't buy a team to make money. He just wants to win. If anyone can bring an NBA championship to Charlotte, it's Michael Jordan.

I disagree. What I took away from it was that he is NOT the maniacal manager from his Washington days like his narrative always suggests and most likely always will suggests until Charlotte becomes a successful NBA franchise again.

He's newly married, has young children to raise, and finally matured as an NBA executive, realizing that he needed to be more hands off and hire folks with experience in running a team. It's nice to see that he finally got some recognition for turning things in the right direction. It may not be reflected in the record right now or national media, but you'd be hardpressed to find anyone around Charlotte who would say we aren't light years from the BoJo days.

No, I don't mean that he's hands on or anything like that. I just meant he's determined to build a winner and will do whatever it takes.

    • Im not firm on many things football, but this statement or belief or strategy I am 100% for. Full Offseason the goal is to make the playoffs. Week 1, 1000% I want to win. Weeks 2-10,  1000% I want to win. Until the math stats 0.000000000% chance at NO playoffs, I want to win. *Once* there's no chance at the playoffs, I want to 100% lose every game until the end. You are still loser at 2-15 or 5-12, I want to never lose like this again. I want the best value for losing and suffering. Again the only goal is playoffs. Once in the playoffs anything can happen, I want to win the whole dam show. If you happen to lose in the first round, that's perfectly fine and lets work hard this upcoming off-season to get another chance to make them.  This is the ONLY way to play in the NFL. Anyone not understanding this method of strategy, please call your doctor for a visit...
    • Purdy's good but at the end of the day you're paying first class money for a business class seat.  It's a big problem with the salary cap.  QBs take most of it whether they are Pat Mahomes or not.
    • Purdy saved the 49ers from that three 1st picks for Trey Lance. People forget that. People also forget he should have MVP votes for the 23 season. He's been any where from the 8th(his best/23) to 14th ranked QB, he's legit and guys around top 10 get paid as QBs.....guys in 28th get paid too, he's 4x the QB Trevor Lawrence is and better than BY by miles as well...even without CMC, Samuel(whos a RB playing WE), and half the OL.    *BUT*    You non-believers missed this ultra important mistake that honestly made me reconsider all the praise I gave him. https://www.si.com/nfl/49ers/news/49ers-qb-brock-purdy-throws-blind-40-percent   That's is damming to my case and reset my thinking of his. That's nuclear scary now and I need some time.  too honest for me to overlook.
