Who would take Lance off our hands- and for what?

There are only a handful of teams at this point that would be stupid or desperate enough to take Lance off our hands.

One of them sticks out like a sore thumb because they have a disgruntled player that wants to get out-

And NO I'm not talking about Kanter in Utah. I'm talking about Jason Thompson in Sacramento. He has been on the block ever since he signed in Sac-town and has wanted out for a long time. Rumor is he is demanding a trade.

He is under contract for the same amount if time as Lance- 3 years (no team option though). He would definitely give us more size and scoring ability down low. I know we need more 3pt shooting, but with Mo Williams/PJ/Kemba coming back/Marvin seeming to knock it down more consistent lately and Taylor gathering a few minutes here and there- our 3pt shooting might be well off. Not to mention the absence of Lance would have to improve our FG% as a whole.

I think there are a lot of better players I would rather scoop up, but in reality- not a lot is out there in the market for Lance even if we tie a 1st round draft pick to him (btw, Cho will never do that). So this might be a best case scenario unless we can team up in a 3 team trade of some sorts. Time will tell.

I don't think there are any good options out there currently. Personally I'd take back pretty much anything as long as it wasn't a deal past next year, and giving up no assets. Our best bet is probably to just let him rot on the bench for the rest of this season, and then buy him out at the start of next year.

    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
