I wish they would do away with female versions of already established male characters. How about a new original female character? Same goes for changing spiderman or whoever into a gay or other race. Make a new original cool character.

It's always been funny how these organizations make these spinoff characters in the hopes of banging the drum for diversity even though they will always stand in the shadow of their original counterparts.

Captain America is Captain America. Thor is Thor. Etc etc. Some replacement or whatever is never going to be seen as that hero. There are however, many great minority heroes that these companies haven't shown much interest in building up instead choosing to try and take the shortcut and stick them in a popular costume.

If they really cared about diversity, they'd be willing to take a financial risk and develop and grow lesser known characters rather than trying to cheat and profit off of a known brand.

As for this show, it looks reeeeally goofy rom-com. Which is a shame, because Supergirl does deserve better.

Thanks, exactly what i was trying to say as well. Not only should they use lesser known characters more, but why not just a brand new idea if you want a hero to be gay or different race than white.  I didn't mean to derail the thread and my intention wasn't about supergirl. Even though it would be nice if the comics, cartoons, etc she wore something else besides a suit that is just a female version of the male counterpart.  Movies, video games, tv, etc also don't go out of their way and take financial risks like they used to. Real shame too. Bet there are alot of great ideas that get left on a cutting room floor because some guy on top looks at is as not being profitable.

Id like to see lesser heroes get movies, but seeing as how hollywood can even mess up well known ones i don't know. I still think cyborg could be a great movie. All the time of talking about making a sequel to robocop after the 3rd one came out and that character is just sitting there. If your not batman or spiderman, i guess your irrelevant?  Eventually got the remake of robocop but still. Hell could have done other individual movies with robin, starfire, and beastboy to set up a teen titans movie.

You know Thor is he who holds the hammer right? And now that's Jane Foster. She has breast cancer

Yes I'm aware it's Jane. No, Thor isn't a title, it's a name. Which is why the series has received so much criticism as is.

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
    • Proper stud that would look even better if they could upgrade Scott. And get a resemblance of pressure on the QB
